Ok this is how it worked for me,maybe will do so for u also: Disable windows firewall and ur antivirus firewall,follow all the steps of the video untill ps3 network configuration of DNS settings-->Manual-->Primary DNS server 208.67.222.222 Secondary DNS server 208.67.220.220 and ur done hope it helps others also. :)

And the only reason i want to do this is because my dad can disconnect individual things that connect to the broadband so if im not doing revision lets say because im on the ps3 he can disconnect it which is really annoying, so does that make a difference if i want to connect it through my pc ? @mclaren3333 yeah it's just a syncronisation error you must start the pc first log into the internet then start your ps3 and enter to your user profile then check on the back of the ps3 if the ethernet cable is glowing (green light) if not check your if your cable is working or is not then you shoold be able to connect to psn BUT you must be sure that you have disabled your fire wal (go to configuration panel>network connections>right clik on the internet you have created and selectpropity
