I don't see or hear anything wrong with the drummer, seems pretty accomplished to me. Butch Miles was gone by this time and i think the drummer here was Brian Grice and he sounded good to me. the home recording might not have contributed much to the performance.

@stevebul Brian Grice died from gastroesophageal cancer (which I was going through at the time of this performance) on July 17,2010. I worked with him in the Basie Band in 1995. He was a great drummer/percussionist and a wellspring of percussive knowledge. acedrumminman is a bitch! Dig that!
