  • junior!?

  • @Herve1955 yes that's his son!

  • Work that hair, Glenn!

  • GregoryStockert: I WISH I had known Clifton. By the time I became a rabid fan, he had pretty much stopped touring the east coast. This is the 2000's version of the Red Hot Louisiana Band, with CJ fronting. Recently, the guy who joined CJ after Cleveland passed away, Clifford (Humpy Alexander) has rejoined CJ's band about 2 to 2 1/2 yrs ago after being away since the early '90's. Hope this helps. Peter

  • This is Clifton's son CJ, who took over his Red Hot Louisiana Band in '87 after his dad died. At first he had Harry Hypolite & Paul Senegal on guitars, Cleveland Chenier on rubboard, John Hart & Warren Ceasar on horns, alumni of Cliff's band working with him. This lineup features Timmy Betts on guitar and Glenn on bass. The rubboard guy is a "fill in", and the drummer I don't recognize. I talked with CJ around the time of this tour, where he played South America and Europe incl Budapest.

  • That is not Clifton Chenier or his Red Hot Louisiana Band. I knew Clifton
