Thats hard to believe that will hold over 100 lbs. The track must flex like crazy. I also used 2x2's to build one and they are spaced just 12" apart and the track still flexes with 70lbs including the cart. Thats with 1 1/2" conduit. What is the pvc size you used? You said 3/4" but from the video it looks to be a larger diameter. I don't get any sway from the cart, perhaps your side wheels are too far apart from the track? cahans.com/projects/Rollercoaster/
@mcahan02 actually the track is really strong. I weigh like 100 something pounds and it holds. the problem is the 2x2's. they are pretty fragile and one just broke. but that's also cause the car isn't done yet and it doesn't have upstop wheels so it shakes around like crazy. but once it's done it'll support a lot of weight.
@13hessel- 3/4 inch, but if you want a coaster with more turns and twists, a smaller size is better, but probably not smaller than 3/4 inch. If your coaster is more straight and going down a natural hill, a bigger size works.
@poofy917 Well, It'll go backwards and maybe go over the camelback again. But we don't really have enough room in my backyard to make it bigger. Thrillium almost runs the entire length of my backyard. But otherwise, pretty much.
@czstealth Have you seen blue flash? Thats better but I have to admit this is a nice coaster. I've seen backyard coasters where they just go down than up than backward ect... but I like how they have added the camelback hill. Very nice.
@kaboda317 probably in 2 weeks if I get the car done by then. I haven't done anything in bout a week so I actually thought I was working slowly! lol :)
OMG OMG OMG! This is so cool! I like how the camel hump is so small so you can get a lot of airtime! It makes me want to come to your how when its done!
dont update it the end is the best part

@mcahan02 it's weaker in some spots than others. and it is definitely 3/4 inch PVC pipe. yeah I don't know. it works!
OinzCEO17 1 year ago
I think you better not put more than 25 lbs on that track, it looks really thin.

@13hessel PVC pipe is flexible, it doesn't need a heater or any stuff, just bend it. But the bigger the size, the harder it is to bend.
