Well said their. :-) I use to be a christian myself until i was judged by a christian family member of mine so i shunned the religion and converted to Atheism.
You are sadly mistaken if you truly believe that christians cannot judge one another. Try google and type "should christians judge" and read the results. There are far too many scriptures telling you to use righteous judgements of events and/or circumstances.
Quite simply;
If your friend was about to do something that you knew was wrong and asked you to join along...how do you decide to partake or not except through judging?
Try asking God to open your mind to understanding judging.
I feel like you're completly missing my point. What you're talking about is Christians politly confronting one another when they find incongruent, hypocritical behavior in their brother/sister. That is exactly what I'm doing in this video. I'm talking about Christians being rude and judgemental toward non-believers and how it pushes them away. By doing so you're proving the non-believers right about their own stereotype about you.
@wattsnick30 I've read the whole Bible so I can say that your points are entirely inaccurate. Plus, you don't know my life so you don't know why I'm a Christian. I mean, it's interesting hearing your insight, but don't expect a responce from me after this. I know when my words aren't getting through and are ineffective. Thank you for your time.
Jesus hung out with tax collectors, prostitues, and other people that were considered scummy. Anyway, I'm off topic. I don't care if you're going to say I should go to an insane asylum or anything. But if it helps, I apologize on behalf of the "Christians" or false prophets that have driven you to such bitterness. Too many are blinded by self-righteousness.
@wattsnick30 Not the homosexuals, the drug addicts, those apart of cults...no one. We just want to take what truth has been reveiled to anyone who is living more in bondage. Have you ever read philosophers like Socrates or Plato? It's kind of like the cave illustration they've got going...and they weren't Christians (Jesus hadn't been born yet) or Jews. The aim is to show the love of Christ that he has shown us...that's kind of the idea of this video anyway. .
@wattsnick30 I wouldn't say there's no evidence. Any God would be inmeasurable by definition. Metaphysically, there's not way to prove or disprove his existence by physical means. I don't see how believing one's own religion to be above others is a problem. After all, I wouldn't believe in any of this stuff if I didn't think the gospel was above all other holy books and religions--that's irrational. Genuine Christians don't want people to go to hell.
I am human, so I will not deny being judgemental. After all, I often pass my judgement upon judgemental Chirstians because of how they have hurt my non-Christian friends and has lead me into getting hurt deeply as well. I left a church for those reasons. And you're right, I need to learn to forgive and interceed on their behalf. It's hard, but God is good and he has shown so much truth to me. Thank you for sharing.
in this dark world the church of today doesnt need million dollar building plans what it need is more christians who GET IT like you. you my sister can rightfully divide the word to show yourself approved. in all seriousness pray and take it and run with it you will be unstoppable if you ever need a word of encouragement or anything e-mail me or my wife at missionstudios@live.com or juliaflowers@live.com God bless
as many churches do they enforce them when really the new law is to LOVE as CHRIST did but they dont soo many people are offended Jesus didnt just stay in the church and converse with the "rich" believer no he went out and he talked and conversed and loved on Prostitues Beggars the people who needed the love the most Im not saying you should leave your church but pray about it because God has placed a revalation on you of truth and you need to share it with as many people you are a light in
Yeah...it's been hard because I tried to leave my church back when I was in high school. However I have lived in the same house and gone to the same church my whole life. It wasn't easy talking to my parents about it. However, now that I'm in college I choose my own church anyway. And at this college we have chapel three times a week, plus a student-lead service, so I've been blessed with wonderful fellowship. I think I'll revisit my old church though when summer comes.
i know im a little late on commenting on this and ive been in church all my life and we see these things because to be honest as churches they are still babies in there walks if they fully understood and knew the difference between old and new covenant we would not have the problem with religion and the taint on the name we hold as "christians" it clearly states all through romans that the 10 commandments was never intended for us but
christians mostly get mad and judge other people because they get taught that their way is the right way and if u don't follow it your gona end up in hell, and they get mad at people who show them that some of the stuff in the bible is... well just kinda weird. like how the bible used to say if your neighbor works on a Sunday u gota go kill him. but now it says u gota love him. but the bible is the word of "God" and how could he be wrong sometimes and change his mind and all that other stuff.
@MrBobbyhill39 Haha I find it funny that so many never read up enough. I am a follower myself. But as you can tell some of the things Christians do irritate me. Plus knowing about the old covenant and the prophesy and establishment of the new one is kinda important to know. And it's really sad when non-believers know more about it,
@pezbrownie haha, i just look up religion sometimes cuz its entertaining on how its affected the world and people the way they act and react to things when believeing in a supernatural being. Plus i get into tons of internet arguments with christians and its always good to know the other side when arguing.
