Look up the side effect Tardive Dyskinesia. Would like to have that? Loads of people have perm central nervous system damage. The problem is there are not many options. You take a defective med that can damage you or kill you - or - you take your own life. Personally, I think I should be allowed to kill myself instead of taking meds. But that is my opinion and the law does not allow me to kill myself for mental illness even in OR where they have compassionate suicide for the terminally ill.

Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety and Antipsychotic meds commonly come with these same warnings. If you are mentally ill you roll the dice and see...will this drug kill me or make me better? Apparantly the idiots in this country are taking this for them to have so much money to continue advertising this so much. I have Asperger's Syndrome (although I did not speak until I was four) and had a psychiatrist tell me I was no longer autistic and that my diagnosis needed to be changed to bi polar. He wanted me to go on Abilfy as soon as he walked in the door. I've had horrible reactions to medications and I definatly did not want to take something without reasearching it first. I said I didn't want to and he threatned to comit me.
My husband died in April from complications related to Abilify. He had a diagnosis of Paranoid Schizophrenia, and after being put on Risperidone and Invega with some serious side effects, he was switched to Abilify. His paranoia worsened and he became increasingly anxious and depressed. He shook at nights and was much worse than before treatment. He shot himself the day before his appointment to follow up. Others I know had bad effects too. Be careful.

I have Asperger's Syndrome (although I did not speak until I was four) and had a psychiatrist tell me I was no longer autistic and that my diagnosis needed to be changed to bi polar. He wanted me to go on Abilfy as soon as he walked in the door. I've had horrible reactions to medications and I definatly did not want to take something without reasearching it first. I said I didn't want to and he threatned to comit me.

My husband died in April from complications related to Abilify. He had a diagnosis of Paranoid Schizophrenia, and after being put on Risperidone and Invega with some serious side effects, he was switched to Abilify. His paranoia worsened and he became increasingly anxious and depressed. He shook at nights and was much worse than before treatment. He shot himself the day before his appointment to follow up. Others I know had bad effects too. Be careful.

all you motherfuckers out there gotta fuckin realize that abilify is a joke, I took it it slowed me down alot, it impaired my motor skills, increased suicide thoughts, and I also get blurred vision it even says on the motherfuckin bottle may cause some motherfukin blurred vision. If there is a cure for depression it would be good old mary jane but I even gave that up cause honestly i want to live a sober life without drugs. So fuck what your quack doctors say!!!!!!!!!

Is this irony? The government fucks our heads up from birth and then supply the doctors and medication to diagnose and treat our fuckeduppedness (I think I just made that word up). And most of the medication prescribed is killing us. Is there an agenda here? Some sort of intent? I almost died from Abilify and I laughed at the advert, also. I see the humor...they make no bones about saying it can kill you while at the same time trying to sell it to you. Good ol American humor. ;o)

reports less occurrence of many of them as compared to other antipsychotics. thus, its actually pretty good in treating major psychological disorders but, instead, is marketed towards the typical suburbanite who is battling mild cases of depression. hoorah for giant drug companies.....

to me, the main problem is that abilify is being marketed for its antidepressant possibilities when it is an antipsychotic. pharmaceutical companies know that there is much more money in marketing antidepressants (or, to put it another way, that persons afflicted with schizophrenia are much less likely to be sitting around watching their comercials). the majority of those side effects are similar to other antipsychotics (they're called major tranquilizers for gods sake) and abilify actually

Just an FYI - clinical research has shown that patients on placebo pills improved 87% as much as those on anti-depressant drugs. Placebos don't cause death or uncontrollable muscle movements however, Research your medication and alternate therapies. Check out Kirsch and Sapirstein's study (1998) called Listening to Prozac but hearing placebo: A meta-analysis of 38 studies involving 3000 patients.

LOL, I caught this commercial the other day in the background and then heard them start getting into side effects and started laughing my ass off just like the dude recording this video.
Usually death is the worst side effect, but this one had a few that rivaled even that! Permanent uncontrollable muscle movements?
