  • Man I love you RetroReese. I mean talk about nostalgic...I think you almost drew a tear from me with some of the videos. Thank you.

  • That's the nicest comment I ever got. Thanks, man! Don't worry, I just dug up some more tapes, and if my job doesn't intervene too much, more videos will be up this summer.

  • hey np. words almost cant even express the feeling man seriously. and I look forward to those tapes.

  • Cool! I have a tape of some of these same commercials from Christmas 1989or slight variations. They definitely make you feel all nostalgic!

  • Do you have the 89 hess truck commercial?

  • haha, no , but i know what you're talking about. classic

  • Oh Well thanks anyway. Im trying to find the older Hess truck commercials to see when they started the kids choir.

  • if you do, please tell me. i can't seem to find that one, either.

  • brings back memories I was 4 months pregnant with my son Christmas 1989. Boy how time flies.

  • wow, your son was born around the same time frame i was.

  • The dude in the Maxwell House commercial looked kinda like Antonio Banderas.

McDonalds commercials used to be so cute and witty.

Loved Muppet Babies, PeeWee's Playhouse, and Garfield on Saturday mornings when I was a kid. :)

  • kinda nice to remember some of these

  • My favorite part from his version was when the Ghost of Xmas Present got up in his face over the surplus population remark:

"So perhaps in the future you will hold your tongue. Until you have discovered what the surplus population is. And where It Is. It may well be that in the sight of heaven that you are more worthless and less fit to live than MILLIONS like this poor man's child!"

Other than that I also like the Alastair Sim version and the Patrick Stewart version.

  • wow, man. did you memorize that? i'm impressed.

  • Pretty much, yeah.

    Hahaha.

  • So other than Scott, who else did you like as Scrooge?

  • michael caine, kelsey grammer, patrick stewart, and scrooge mcduck were all very good runners-up.

  • George C. Scott is probably the DEFINITIVE Scrooge!

    My opinion

  • I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU! Some came close, but he really gave the character heart!
