I had the pleasure of seeing this musical back when it was still originally on Broadway in the 1970s. And i saw it not once, but 3 times! I particularly recall a scene when Miss Hannigan (played by Dorothy Loudon) surprises Annie by jumping out from behind the left wing of the stage. not only did Annie jump, but so did the whole audience! When I went back to see it a second time, I KNEW that scene was coming and when. But it STILL made me jump! Same thing when I went to see it for the 3rd time!

I lost my copy of this album, I couldn't find this version of Maybe and it was driving me crazy. I think out of all the Annie remakes, these recordings are the best. Maybe's without a doubt my favourite song from Annie.
