  • super cool!!!

  • Thank you! :)

  • one of the best out on internet

  • very good video!

  • Thanks for this. Really useful. Been re warping changes for years...

  • thank you so much...

  • Ran across your tutorial by pure coincidence.. now I'm pasting grids all over my house :O

    great stuff!

  • Love it, but it doesn't have to be a grid only right? I can just do the same with using a rectangle (from the pen tool options) as well, and wrap it around the product. Isn't right?

  • useful tips

  • Thanks so much for this - brilliant!

  • you are very talented man...

  • I too was not very aware of how amazingly useful smart objects were....Thanks a lot! :)

  • if you took the time to print out a grid and put it on the bottle

just print the fucking logo and stick it on

  • Um, the point of doing it this way is that once you have this set up, you can experiment with other labels or make modifications to the current one, and see how it looks instantly on the screen – without the hassle of printing, cutting out the labels, smearing glue, and sticking on bottles, which you'd have to do for each label.

  • @KingSkulkZ LOL

  • does smart object do all that??????

very useful tutorial indeed, thanks alot (y)

  • cool

  • Awesome tutorial! It helped a lot!

  • awesome! pity much helped me

  • awsome!

  • thank you so mutch!

  • thank you so much

  • I'm just curious: do you wear hornrim glasses and use a Macbook in coffeeshops?

    Great idea though.

  • lolz

  • And they downvoted me for it. They didn't like it that I said that.

  • what about printing out the label and stick it to the package instead of printing out the grid? Then you photograph that look realistic too or not?

  • I think you did not understand the point of the video

  • Thank you for teaching us! God bless you!

  • How do you managed to take 2 different photos with and without the grid?

  • He took two photos... one with the grid print out on the bottle and one with out...

  • Let me rephrase that. How did he managed to take them with almost exactly the same position?

  • a tripod, and lighting putting on and taking off the printed out grid

or he used some puddy stuff, and stuck the bottle to the table

  • We always use bluetacs to stick objects for product still life. This ensures the angle is consistant. Sometimes we use markers to swap different colours of the same product in order to get the same angle more or less and then do post production and get all the angles right.

    This tutorial is good stuff...

  • how did you manage to survive this long in life?

  • looooool

  • He stuck the grid onto it...

  • omg...this is so brilliant!

  • Great Job!!

But i think that it will be better and easier to make this in illustrator with the mapping option.

    greetz

  • Thanks!

  • Great tutorial!!! Thanks :)

  • :o u sound like a teacher...u sound EXACTLY like my old math teacher lol

  • Maybe he is your old math teacher lol

  • lol

  • Excellent video, was not really aware of how to use smart objects great tutorial.

  • WOW! AWESOME!

  • Hey man, thanks for the tutorial!

By the way, where did you get or where can you find the RECTANGULAR GRID? The first one that you placed? Can anyone tell me? Please reply. Thanks!

  • he made it himself?...

  • I thought this was very clear and easy to understand. And it shows some fun ways to play with smart layers, illustrator files, and warp.

However the part with the grid seems excessive (unless your planing on reusing the bottle and altering the label design). I think if you are able to take an image you could just as easily print out the lable and stick it on, instead of the grid, and shoot the finished product.

  • can you upload the photos of the bottles? please.

  • Oh, my world I need this program. I have the Photoshop Elements 4.0 I need this one that you used how much is this software. Well thanks for the video. Awesome.

  • That was awesome, what a cool effect!

  • This is a good tutorial. I just wish he would've used windows instead of a mac. Plus I'm not sure which version of Photoshop this is because I have cs2, but mine don't have the same options under the "image" tab.

  • its CS2 that he uses...and if you weren't able to pick up on that ... well, you might not have CS2 yourself

it makes no different whether he uses mac or pc, just the interface changed slightly...

  • great tutorial :D

  • great! how create a ( grid )in fhotoshop???

  • just make a pattern.

  • great job will help tremendously.

    thanx.

  • nice one gz:P

  • Could you speak a little more slowly?

  • This tut was better than the one that Adobe made. Theirs uses "Planes" and other crap. Your way is much easier. Thanks alot! I completely agree with what you did in the start of the vid. I can't live with minor errors either. lol. To the people that can't understand his "mumbling"... he is just thinking out loud. Thats how us "Photoshopers" work. He isn't really saying anything important. You can mute the vid and still follow along. Once again... Great vid! Keep it up! =]

  • Voice not clear.. Dont know what he mumbling about..

  • you just saved my Final!!! thanks!!!

  • ..... or you could just print your design, stick it onto the bottle and take a photo!

  • you should talk more clear sounds like if you have a hot potato in the muth while your triying to explain.

    great tut anyway

  • Frickin' awesome!²

Wow, dude! This tutorial changed my life from now on!!!

    THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANX A LOT!!!

  • Frickin' awesome!

  • that was quite entertaining, I really enjoyed watching that! Thanks!

  • wow!! thats really helped me! awsum vid mate!! XD

  • OMG! Powerfull! :D

  • Well done. :)

  • your grid is off a lil. but still. AMAZING VID.

  • very interesting, thanks !!

  • thanx! great demo!

  • exelent

  • la guzel yapıyorsunuzda ah bi anlayabilsem nasıl yaptıgınızı la gavurdan baska turkce anlatan yokmu emrre sende bana gel deidn bumu la anlatan zuahahhahahhas:DD:D::D

  • how do you affix the grid on the object without it moving? did you glue it to the surface?

  • cooool

  • Brilliant -- I never understood this until now. Thank you very much.

  • Very nice creativetechs. I am one of the gifted in that I do not need to utilize the grid as I'm a product designer, but there were some very insightful tips in your video that I will indeed use during my retouching and rendering. Cheers.

  • thanks

  • WOW!!! Thank-You so much for that tutorial. More than just the technical info but picking up on the small sort off between the lines pieces of information that came through as to how you operate at your company were very, very help full. Specifically the remark between the division of right and left brained thinkers.

    Kindest Regards;

    JLH

  • nice work!

  • Professional!

    Thankyou very very much!

  • Bravo Dude

  • Very GOOD!

  • Excellent... thank u :)

  • thanks but this is so easy

  • interesting!

  • ...nice Tut!

(warpers haven been implemented in Photoediting software almost 10 years ago (I think filmbox from Quantel)... lucky that also Adobe managed to put these indispensable Tool into her software - even, when the resolution of the warper is fixed by 4x4!! CLAP HANDS! .. ergg.. little ironic?

    NOOO!! =))

but anyway - PS is almost best edting Software. (...until Version CS3 is arriving)

  • You sound as though you have been using graphics software for a very long time. I was wondering if you could tell if there are any advantages to purchasing Corels "Painter" as well my PS@ to get some extra features that PS doesn't make available.

  • Excellent tutorial. Thanks for posting this. Peace.

  • cs2 ist soo gut!

  • Well done. I will be using your tutorial down the road. Thanks!

  • You are a pro!

  • fantastic!

  • too good~

  • great technique

  • COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • It's soooo awsome i like it...

  • Damn....You're good

  • It looks like playing around with pictures is funner then

using PhotoShop CS2 as a tool.!.

  • Wow! =] I can't wait to try that when I get Photoshop CS2. =DDD
