But I am surprised. I would except that such HST's would not have any road crossings. There was hardly any time-lag between the barriers coming down and the train passing through. Is it safe?

There was half a minute from the bells and lights sounding to the train crossing, and a clear 10 seconds from when the barrier was fully down. That should be long enough.

@rajnikantsharma This is not a high-speed line. TGVs run on both LGV and regular lines. On LGV all crossings are either by bridge or tunnel. When the TGV is on regular lines, they go the speed of the track (220 km/h max)

@rajnikantsharma As others have pointed out, in France, many of the high-speed trains also run on "conventional" track, since they are all the same gauge and compatible voltage. This is different from Japan, where the "Bullet Trains" must run on separate tracks, since the main system there is narrow-gauge, while the Shinkan-sen are standard gauge.

La vitesse est limitée à 140 km/h sur cette ligne, il s'agit tout simplement d'un TGV Atlantique. Savenay ce situe à 30km de Nantes sur les lignes Nantes - Le Croisic / Quimper.

Les lignes équipées de passages à niveaux sont limitées à 160 km:h maximum.

C'est un TGV, certes il peut rouler à 300 km/h, mais lui aussi doit respecter une vitesse limite.

Sur la route une Bugatti Veiron peut atteindre les 400 km/h, mais aucune route ouverte à la circulation ne lui autorise cette vitesse.

Pour un TGV, c'est la même chose, avec en plus des équipements qui provoquent l'arrêt automatique du train en cas de dépassement de vitesse.

Il y a effectivement de nombreux accidents sur les passages à niveaux, mais ils sont principalement dûs au non respect de l'arrêt aux barrières lorsque le train passe

The crossing should close much earlier.

Then if there is a problem, the train will be notified and have a chance to slow and stop before entering the crossing.

Les remorrques proviennent d'un POS mon tit pierre regarde bien les marquages !! Les motrices sont des résaux je suis d'accord ! et les TGV sont limités a 220 sur ligne classique .

écoute c'est un agent sncf de la gare de bollwiller qui ma l'a dit tu va pas dire qu'il ment , c'est son boulot . Et le 20km/h c'est pour les TER 200 la voie est aménagé pour le 220 .

Sauf que dans ce cas, il n'y a pas de PN sur les sections à V limite 200 (en fait au dessus de 160, plus de PN). Sr la video pour moi, la rame est à moins de 160. A l'oeil, j'estime 140 khm environ.

Rough calculation...train passes over crossing at 155.5kph or 96.6mph. Does this sound correct? Nice video on the full cycle of the crossing warning system.
