Cam, I'm not sure but I think @WFLSilverDot is Rob Sirat, who was the BD lead snare in 1984 & 1985. In which case, he would definitely *not* be my son. But a great guy even though we are not related! :-)
Great post, puts me back to my teen years. I was to young to be out there but I remember looking at the snare drummers and imitating them with my friends.

thsma2009 9 months ago
@thsma2009 They got rid of the cymbal line when they went BOA.

@politicalsheepdog what do you mean BOA? only BOA i know of is Bands Of America
thsma2009 7 months ago
@thsma2009 What I'm refering to is Drum Corps today looks like Bands of America Compaired to the 80's.
I'm not saying the kids aren't working hard it's just the show designs have lost their punch and testosterone.
politicalsheepdog 7 months ago
@politicalsheepdog oh yeah i get what you mean, lol cavies and coats havnt lost that punch!!! so im happy. hahahh
thsma2009 7 months ago
@thsma2009 I haven't felt the puch from a DCI Hornline since 2000. My favorite modern Hornline would be Crown.
politicalsheepdog 7 months ago
@politicalsheepdog i gotta say its between, Coats, PR, and Crown. lol. but i guess its just preferance, but yeah i know what you mean.

Anyone know where Rob Sirat is? I played with him in the NoVa Patriots in the 70's and early 80's/

This one takes me back. BD was a power house back in the day. They still are, but its something about those guys in the 80's when they played.
