This song is a mini-documentary about being stuck, bad choices, shattered dreams, and feeling lost: "How did I get here." It's one of their best songs and one I think a lot of people can relate to over the past few years. This one here isn't the best live version (buy the LP "Staring Down The Brilliant Dream") but it's one of their best songs.
Strange some people don't seem to get this song. Its not celebrating beer and remote control, its a poignant poetic dissertation on the working middle to lower class american. Its sad. But, I realize that for those that truly live this way and feel they've been forced to accept it and the happy hour that comes in between work days , it is a celebration.

I heard this at the coffee shop near my house and I rushed back home to hear this one more time before we sat down for dinner!
