@mizzpink.........Actually, I really like and participate in drag racing. It's just that the full-blown "pro-street" look for a street car is just a little out dated. I once had thoughts of tubbing my '55 Chevy years ago, but now thank God I didn't. It's kinda' like a mullet........what was once cool.....now, not so much.

I'm happy with it running 10:70's (on 9" tires) at the track and then turn arond and driving it home...or anywhere else I want.

if you want to go faster than a 10.70 like this nova does, you probably need wider tires which requires tubbing. this is driven on the street. it's not some fad, man. it's just a drag car driven on the street.

I honesly wouldnt get a muscle car for your first. Gas hog and Sky High insurance. I would stick with a newer car with a 4 cylinder or V6.

don't know what insurance company you go through, but is sure is ass backwards from every insurer i've ever had or inquired about. Every single one of them my Acura is MUCH cheaper to insure than any of my classics. Mainly for two reasons, they don't have nearly the safety features, and they are MUCH more likely (and easier) to be stolen.

he has owned a 66 chevy truck for over 25 years and still has it. i think for 1 year his insurance is around $200.00. not bad.

Any TRUE (race) car guy knows that thing is a bag of shit. Hell, I own a Nova and I can tell you right now that thing is a total dud. No blower, just a tunnel ram and I can hear that the cam ha zero overlap, indicating low duration and a wide lobe separation. Further, the owner should be shot for putting lakepipes on a Nova.
