The temperature drop down around 5 degrees ( Celsius ) with the cooler. But I did not do further research to measure the new life time of the engine compared with an engine without the cooler.
amigo; gostaria de ter seu e-mail para trocar algumas informação ref este heli, só que o meu é 4#3 A , e percebi que os servos nao sao tao precisos, causando algumas instabilidades, motivo pelo qual ainda nao me arisquei decolar.
Another idea for the main motor heatsink, I took the heatsink from the tail of my blade cp and it fit the main motor perfectly.. This works pretty well...
-the main engine conection in the receiver is in the main. Mot. position.
-The engine you put, is the 4#3B engine,(with a hole on top). Note: if you put another similar engine used in other kind of small helicopters, it may not produce enough speed.
-The main propeller must be original for 4#3B.
_Take the engine out, and check if main rotor is running free.
_Check with another batery, fully charged. I hope it can help you. :)
very good idea. i will use it on my heli too. other people said that you could wrap the motor with soldering wire, but i think yours is much better and lighter. also, what is that glue that you were talking about? can that be found in any hardware store? once again, good work. i look forward to seeing more from you. thanks
The soldering wire also works and it's easier to do, but has much more weight and also gives less area for cooling. It's not a glue, it's a kind of paste to conduct heat. I didn't use in my motor, and the heat sink works good, but some friends told me it get's better with the paste. I think you can find it in some electronics repair store or maybe, as you said, in a hardware store. Just ask that is a kind of paste they put between metal parts to conduct heat between each other. Thank's.
O radiador da cauda reduzi pela metade o tamanho, pois estava influenciando no fluxo de ar da helice. I reduced 1/2 de heat exchanger in the tail, due to air flow influence in the rear propeller.
Nice mod. Do you see any REAL improvement on the motor's life?

Seu receptor é diferente, e não possui ajuste de sensibilidade nos servos, de modo que não sei como corrigir este problema especificamente. Abraço.

Well. It's hard to say. But you must try this:
-the main engine conection in the receiver is in the main. Mot. position.
-The engine you put, is the 4#3B engine,(with a hole on top). Note: if you put another similar engine used in other kind of small helicopters, it may not produce enough speed.
