i'm so fucking dumb that it never occurred to me to attack the bombs to clear a path or get health. i couldn't figure out how it was humanly possible to get past the rain of them on the third run
6.I would just make sure you have at least 4 hearts for the last jewel on the head of the serpent and not bother trying to dodge (after you hit it with the yellow energy strike)
it only needed a a 2/3 hits for me), it isnt worth it IMO
7. As someone else said start on the left jewel, work your way right, then leftt, then right so you end up ready to hit the jewel on the head of the serpent
8. This means the end (left to right) run is VERY HARD, as it alot easier to should stomp from right to left you need to get accross the colour shower (changing colour to match the shower) whilst dodging the bombs and then JUMP BACK switch colour to stomp the jewel and then instantly changing back and carrying on with the next one
9. My opinion is if you take it slow up until the last head jewel and retain your health, you can then not bother dodging the bombs during the head jewel
1 Take your time, (obvious but the minute you start rushing it goes tits up)
2. When stomping on the jewels in the 2nd and 3rd phase make sure you stomp right to left as the bombs come in at an angle from right to left also making it easier to dodge them
3. If you find your self low on hearts get to the far left of the serpent (on the tail next to the spikes) and keep destroying the bombs (opposite colour of course). It takes ages but some bombs (like 1 in 10 drop hearts)
@Me8129 Yes it was hard probably did it on my 20th attempt (about 2 hrs it took) but I did only have 8 hearts with 5 left when I defeated it (so the boss only took off 3 hearts!), where as the two prior boss (the priestess and spider) both took about 5/6 attempts for me
4. Also after you stomp the jewels be sure to instantly change back to the colour corresponding to the shower head so then you can concentrate on dodging the bombs
5. Save your (I had one of these) yellow energy for the last jewel on the ehad and hit it immediately after the penultimate jewel) it takes alot of health off and should leave it with only a couple of strikes left
For everyone who has trouble running away from the Serpent/Dragon on phase 1. try charged attack...i gives you that LITTLE BIT OF SPEED Needed to run away.
And they say that modern videogames are easy!Anyway, this was a fun albeit frustrating boss battle.
A of hints:
- Bombs have a set pattern,so they will always fall on the same place, leaving several safe zones on the serpent's back. Also, sometimes a destroyed bomb may drop a heart.
- If you have enough energy you can use the beam attack to fry the serpent's head at a safe distance.
This is the first boss I have struggled with, don't have as many hearts though. And just in case you do get hit on one of the first two run away from him parts at the start the last vase is a heart.
Love the game so far though, played to the High Priestess on co op and its a ton of fun to play it with someone else (try and be second player the character model is way better then the normal one, at least according to me and who I was playing with)
this boss took me 2 tries once I got to the air stomping part. 4 total I believe. I really really liked this boss actually I hope everyone manages to beat him!
Ok just did it without too much trouble here are some tips:
1.Try to get all 12 health and 6 energy from world BEFORE you start battle
2.Make sure energy meter is full before entering it carries over
3.The chase scene alternates colors consistently so as soon as one barrier is passed alternate polarity to be ready for next one
4.Once on dragon start on left side moving right, then right to left on part 2, left to right on phase 3 so that when done you are right at the dragon's head
Since you can actually start this battle with 12 health and 6 energy, it sucks that if you open the boss door you cant return to the main world until the boss is beaten. So if you have very low health it is going to be damn hard.
This game is awesome. Let me say that first, but damn this boss was hell. And after this boss, the game's difficulty sharply rises. What happened at that company to make them want to torture us to such an extent. Although... I'm kinda liking it, as it's reminiscent the good old days of say Mega man 2 or something like that. Oh well...I'm done venting, I hope you all have good luck when traversing these waters.
@mud0turtle LOL I was thinking the exact same thing why the hell did the game developers want to torture us with such impossibly diificult levels and bosses!
This boss has pretty much ruined the game for me.Ill keep having a try at it but i dont expect ill ever do it, and then if i did and it wouldnt be through skill but pure luck then id be left with the final boss which face it,is gonna be twice as hard. I like a challenge but this is fuckin stupid. Why didnt they have a difficulty setting?
@ItzTo3en Nope, I've gone back through a few stages, since the final boss is a bit much, and I've managed to get 2 more hearts and 3 more Energy Bars. Energy bars are really helpful for the final boss.
@Scougre A lot of the upgrades are broken off into hidden chambers. Look around for walls just seems like they're crumbling or walls with gaps at the bottom, to slide in, and typically there will either be money jars or a health upgrade. There's actually a few of them located in the first stage, forest area; maybe around 3.
I did this with only 1 heart left looool YEAH !!!

Finally got him, just a tip, if you wanna clear out some bombs, use the shield thingy.

The running part takes memory, the second part takes skill, and all through you need to pray to Odin.

How can I leave to get more health? I have 7 hearts and can only get the snake down to half-health.

Some tips.
-Find a safe place between bomb patterns
- Try getting all the hearts (10) before fighting the boss.
-On the parts where the circles come from the stars, hit it and then switch spirits ASAP.
killme460 6 months ago
@killme460 10 isn't the max amount of hearts.

I'll try getting all the hearts, I only have eight and still stuck on this.

5.Using energy beam might be useful for removing several mines at once
6.Use smite ability on dragons head and should only take 2 hits to finish

You can hit the bombs with the opposite colors and they will drop hearts sometimes.
This boss is all about patience, and timing your air stomps,
so when you hit the colors, you switch to its color after, and repeat.
I was having trouble at this boss too, but focus on the area
that your in, and think when is the best time to move.

Try to fill your HP by destoying some bombs. It takes a while, but so you can get 3 hearts or more.
