Chris fucks up JT's life and then later on, when JT's got his life back together, he forces him to write a script. Then this scene happens.

I think Chris killed JT because he was the only one Chris considered a true friend at that point and here JT finally rejects him. None of the guys in the Soprano Family were true friends, and he has realized this. So when the guy he thought to be his friend won't listen to him, he can't handle it. He should expect it though, considering the way he treated JT.

Chris thought of JT as friend and enough of one to openly rant against his mob buddies to him. Even dropping hints how he could rat them all out. Once JT rejected him, he realized he was just talking about ratting out the mob to someone he couldn't even trust. If JT was to spread out what Chris was saying, Chris would be killed. Chris knew that and killed him to protect himself.

JT's character was the funniest running gag on TV. Every year, The Sopranos and Law and Order went head to head for best drama awards. So David Chase creates a Sopranos character who is a writer on Law & Order. They make him a drug addict with a gambling habit, and he gets beat up and abused mercilessly. Finally, when the Sopranos is winding down, they settle the account once and for all. So hysterical.
Chris killing J.T is really keeping in the theme of the final season. It's a line from that Yeats poem: "Things fall apart, the center cannot hold." Chris loses it, AJ loses it, Junior loses it, Tony kills Chris, and forces innocent Bobby to kill, so he's losing it. Meadow breaks up with Finn. Melfi finally ditches Tony.
On the flip side, Carmela gets off her high horse finally, and concedes that she's materialistic. It's interesting as shit.
JT really had NO options in this situation...if he had helped chris, chris would have probably killed him the next day or soon thereafter just because of the few things that he said to JT or because of the things that he may have thought that he had said to JT in a drunken state but couldn't remember afterwards. I really think that JT was pretty much dead the second that Chris walked through the door...either way JT was screwed...Chris put him in an impossible situation just by showing up.

I love how many people like and hate these complex and ambigous characters and how Tony, Chris, Paulie, Silvio, and others have moral flaws and do certain actions that affect how we see them. Though he was an addict and this murder was senseless, I wish he was still alive to kill Phil Leotardo at least and then either be murdered or become an informant. Michael Imperioli is one of the best actors ever.

He whined to Adrianna about how Tony didn't appreciate him after Tony put Paulie with Christopher in the cigarette trade and he threatened to kill Tony during that same tirade and said his kids wouldn't care.

I think Chris killed JT because he was the only one Chris considered a true friend at that point and here JT finally rejects him. None of the guys in the Soprano Family were true friends, and he has realized this. So when the guy he thought to be his friend won't listen to him, he can't handle it. He should expect it though, considering the way he treated JT.

Chris thought of JT as friend and enough of one to openly rant against his mob buddies to him. Even dropping hints how he could rat them all out. Once JT rejected him, he realized he was just talking about ratting out the mob to someone he couldn't even trust. If JT was to spread out what Chris was saying, Chris would be killed. Chris knew that and killed him to protect himself.

JT's character was the funniest running gag on TV. Every year, The Sopranos and Law and Order went head to head for best drama awards. So David Chase creates a Sopranos character who is a writer on Law & Order. They make him a drug addict with a gambling habit, and he gets beat up and abused mercilessly. Finally, when the Sopranos is winding down, they settle the account once and for all. So hysterical.

Chris killing J.T is really keeping in the theme of the final season. It's a line from that Yeats poem: "Things fall apart, the center cannot hold." Chris loses it, AJ loses it, Junior loses it, Tony kills Chris, and forces innocent Bobby to kill, so he's losing it. Meadow breaks up with Finn. Melfi finally ditches Tony.
On the flip side, Carmela gets off her high horse finally, and concedes that she's materialistic. It's interesting as shit.

JT really had NO options in this situation...if he had helped chris, chris would have probably killed him the next day or soon thereafter just because of the few things that he said to JT or because of the things that he may have thought that he had said to JT in a drunken state but couldn't remember afterwards. I really think that JT was pretty much dead the second that Chris walked through the door...either way JT was screwed...Chris put him in an impossible situation just by showing up.

I love how many people like and hate these complex and ambigous characters and how Tony, Chris, Paulie, Silvio, and others have moral flaws and do certain actions that affect how we see them. I liked Chris because of his supposed choice to turn from Tony and his mob lifestyle. Though he was an addict and this murder was senseless, I wish he was still alive to kill Phil Leotardo at least and then either be murdered or become an informant. Michael Imperioli is one of the best actors ever.

He whined to his AA sponsor about giving up Adrianna for Tony and how Tony didn't appreciate it. He whined to Adrianna about how Tony didn't appreciate him after Tony put Paulie with Christopher in the cigarette trade and he threatened to kill Tony during that same tirade and said his kids wouldn't care.
