@AFGRULZ26 Well I guess ur one of a few who would rather see GAGA... Here's who sold out the most in the yr of 2011 (just 2011) 1. U2, $293 million 2. Bon Jovi, $192 million 3. Take That, $185 million 4. Roger Waters, $150 million 5. Taylor Swift, $97 million 6. Kenny Chesney, $84.5 million 7. Usher, $75 million 8. Lady Gaga, $72 million.... Looks like MILLIONS more rather go see U2 after all ;D
R u serious people actually hear u2 still whoa i thought they were gone ages but dint realize they playin stadium lol weaired what kind of people going to see this badn whoa if it was GAGA i will go
I understand the harping on the expense of the set, etc. On the previous tour, they played smaller venues and did 2-4 shows in the same city using a very ingenious, elegant and minimalist stage. It was a long tour.
This time, they visit the entire world and play a single show in strategic metropolitan area with massive crowd capacities.
They cover more earth with less work. Financially and logistically understandable.
Hope they scale-back the next tour. Gimmicks and gadgets everywhere already. Why $40,000,000 ? It's all about the music anyway and U2 rocks like nothing else!! Spend a few less million on stage, and donate the rest to the US economy, which Obama is purposely wrecking.
They're putting on one hell of a show but to spend 40 million for the set and to create the show is just ludicrous. I hope they make that money back and double it. Sounds like another Pop Mart tour. And THAT was one expensive tour!
