A superb song from the greatest album they ever recorded -- Beatles 6 . Every song on both sides of the album was incredible. Side one: ( in order ) Kansas City, Eight Days a Week, You like Me Too Much, Bad Boy, I Don't Want To Spoil The Party, Words Of Love. Side Two: ( in order ) What You're Doing, Yes It Is, Ticket To Ride, Tell Me What You See, Every Little Thing. I must have played it a thousand or more times.
Wish I could convey the emotions that run thru me when I hear this song that takes me back to when I was 15 and this was brand new. The events of youth flash by in a song.
Oh, gosh, I LOVE THIS SONG! "Beatles For Sale" is one of my very favorite Beatles albums...wait, I have, like, ten favorite Beatles albums...never mind. :) :)
Hey guys, I'm 15 and I'm trying to get some exposure on youtube so if you have some spare time please check out some of my guitar covers. It sucks to advertise like this but it seems like the only way to get more views. Thanks if you check them out :)
Great McCartney song!! It's interesting that I used to think it was a Lennon song because his brighter voice cuts through when they're singing the verse together in unison. John credited this one to Paul in his Playboy interview.
@paolo38021 John wrote this one... Sometimes they would write a song asking the other to sing it. As in it would fit their voice better. The sign of a star.
All of the Beatles early songs were so very short. I never could understand why. When you hear the sound of genius, I guess you just want more of it. Hard to believe that you could play this song over 10 times, in less than a half-hour. I guess that it was the demands of more music quickly, before their star would fade. The record companies, back then, didn't have a crystal ball........
@chase123devine The demands on this young band, for more music, was tremendous. The brilliance of most of these songs is amazing. Most under 3 minutes, but they have endured for decades.
@georgeharrisonlover5 It's drums and bass guitar, not a timpani like that one guy said. Ringo is hitting two different toms right after each other and paul is hitting two different notes right after each other.......At the same time :)
I'm not gay, but I dedicate this song to all the GUYS who have been fortunate to feel so LUCKY to be with the most beautiful girl on the planet!!! What a wonderful feeling!!!
@NotHomelessAnymore I agree this one was really the first one to hint at where they were about to go with Rubber Soul the song writing was starting to go much deeper and lose the innocent charm of the earlier Beatlemania stuff
@CommonSkill Actually Baby's in Black is a 50-50 Lennon-McCartney collaboration. :-) Also, Rock and Roll Music, Words of Love, Honey Don't, and Everybody's Trying to be my Baby were covers. :-)

@NotHomelessAnymore All Beatles albums are underrated, but this one i consider my least favourite because of all the covers.
CommonSkill 1 year ago
@CommonSkill Covers? The album consists entirely of original songs.
Let it Be is my personal least favourite because of Phil Spector. I'm not bashing Spector's obvious talent, but he wasn't suited to the Beatles imho.
NotHomelessAnymore 1 year ago
@NotHomelessAnymore Mr. Moonlight, Kansas City / Hey Hey Hey and Baby's in Black are covers.
