Which State has had the biggest job growth over the last 10 yrs? California? No. New York? Nope. It's Texas. Why?1)No state income tax,2) Right to Work State (workers can't be forced to join a union). The budget in Texas is doing fine. We haven't noticed that an income tax has helped California's budget. California was the State which was asking the Federal Government for a bailout. Economic growth is what helps a State get the budget under control. The no income tax states figured that out.
OK, now how are you going to pay for all those services that tax funded? Think the waste is suddenly gone? NO! This is shutting off the faucet but the pipe still leaks. Come on people, use your head. Services will be cut. Pay increases will be frozen for any money the state can't make back up in sales tax increases and other increases. This WON'T work. It will just devastate the commonwealth. You want to kill the waste? Find another way. I BEG. Please vote NO on this question #1.
Please, I paid $250 in Excise tax, sales tax, meals tax, auto registration, title, auto 5% tax ($950), gasoline tax, property tax, etc etc. so far this year. The State and town will use this money for the "services" I expect.
