Punk has a time to be political. I like political and non political, Try living in a shit third world country, those bands have all the right in the world to be political. But i also listne to GG ALLIN and Skrewdriver(not racist stuff), Punk is about whatever you want. I dress normal i wear jeans and t shirt if you saw me on the street you wouldn't think I was even into punk , I'm 40 i played in Deprived in the 90's and didn't agree on every political issue but we had something to say back then.

Do you know this for a fact? Expensive restaurants? Hairdressers? I've met them a couple times and they seemed really down to earth, not like rock stars. We talked about bands and they all have great taste in music. Just because you have some money doesn't mean you're not "punk."

By the way, I know this is off topic, but would you know a few good modern day punk bands? I know a good deal, but they're nearly worn out, I'm curious about a few from this century. @wolfservant5 adolescents have been around since the 80s but they are still active i believe. a good amount of bands like the adolescents who put punk on the map still play shows and try to keep it alive. for example the subhumans are touring as we speak. listen to "punk is dead" by crass and youll understand what im saying about the casualties helping kill it. as for bands theres too fucking many to even begin to list because of all the "sub genres" in punk.

this song's sick. although i still like old casualties, i lost a lot of respect for them when they went on warped tour. there are other festivals they could have played to get their name out there. and while they do need to make a living, selling their merch in hot topic is fucking inexcusable. at least aus rotten will never do that.
