Thank you for explaining this box to me. Question - mine is set with 4 zones, but only one zone comes on, then goes off then the same zone comes on again, through all 4 settings. I am new home owner and system was set up when I purchased the home
how does that little metal piece that contacts the days pins go back in there, i was messing with mine and that fell out, so now when i flip the switch to auto, it acts like the on position and turns the sprinkler system on all the time, so i have no auto right now and its annoying to have to go turn it on manually all the time
Hi Waterboy. Great video. Mom's Intermatic R8816P101C is driving us nuts. Two questions for the expert:
1.) Does it need to be switched from Automatic to Off after a power failure or does it automatically rewind? Mom is 84 and her power was out almost 7 hours yesterday. 2.) Do you know of another model that has battery backup? (She, unfortunately is in an area prone to power failures.) Thanks in advance!
Hi Lenore, if the timer is on the auto or off setting during a power failure the only thing you need to do is reset the current time on timer.
The only timer with battery backup is a digital controller with is a little involved to install because you have to install electronic valves also. You can call me Mon. if you like 954-581-6455 my name is Richard , I'm in Davie Fl.
You can see a demo of the ESP controller on the channel page.
Thank you so much waterboy for posting this video
