if you go to my website, greywolfhighbankers you will see a prospectors information page, on there is all the info on getting you Free Miners Certificate and staking claims though MTO
is there a site on that map that shows "availible" claims to buy or lease? im looking but i dont see anything helpful. I'm heading out that way this summer for a few months and was thinking about trying it out, I was looking to attend a meeting of a local panners club so I'm not stepping on toes in the field any ideas you might share with me?
You will find gold in varing values form the Willow River soutn until; you hit he mouth of the river where it emtpies in to the Pacific Ocean around VCancouver BC Canada....if looking for the best spost, well thats whats prospecting out spots is all about...
MTO has been around for about 6-7 years now, BC, ALTA, and Ontario has these systems that I know of, would think that the Yukon also is online by now, Quebec is still a mystrey to me...
No there isn't any specific colour code for that, you are pretty much able to recreational pan any where in BC, other than Private Land, Indian Reserves or Treaty Lands, Parks, and existing Placer Claims, for more information go to the Canadian Prospectors Forum, I have some info, on Recreational Panning Reserves there, somewhere, also avaliable on the MTO site.
Wow ya, holy toolbars in your browser... ;)

After you print off a map how do you get rights to the claim? Is it possible to do it through the site?

hi sir, i have a question, can i pan in the fraser river, if so is there any gold, and what location is best?
sku1123 1 year ago
@sku1123
best location... he'd be panning it himself
ask a local and he'll tell up yonder over there then down a mile or two, you can't miss it (yeah - right)

In the United States, we have a database, GeoCommunicator.gov; glad to finally know Canada has one.
