its not the desert version of the F-50D (R-44 is its nickname), the D-50C is an earlier model, designed to be an APC support unit for other mobile suits, while the F-50D was Anaheim bringing back the design and giving it better weapons to be more like a late-UC miniature mobile suit.

Oh how I've missed this.

I'm amazed to see so much complexity in a model kits so small. The fact the kit comes with 2 Lotos is a big bonus. I've also seen some modellers have managed to make the tracks fold outwards, Knightmare Frame style.
