If you check the level of detail, you could understand that driving and recording is not a problem for me. These videos are recorded on straights only and I have raced professionally enough to be able to control these heavy load cars in these simple environments. I don't own Saabs and Volvo's at the same time everyday and I thought it's worthed to record these. Thanks for watching.

B2x5R engine series can hold around 300WHP and massive torque. B2x4R (old SAAB 9K) can generate around 400-500WHP (without forged pistons), and massive torque ;]. Thats why many SAAB enthusiast swap T7 engines on T5. Ofc. automatic Aisins can hold max 450NM, just like in Troll Hirsch version ;].
It happenned on stock pistons which are the weak part of the engines of Saabs. Since then I'm with forged to prevent such things. It was a very hot day and I was on a new software from Nordic and there was a huge detonation before it happenned during a long hill climb at WOT (near 200 kmh) at 5th gear. Now same hardware with Abbott and no detonation at all.
ok i dont get it,in the video description it said the engine failed, was that on stock pistons that failed or forged pistons?also at 300crank hp the engine was not soposed to fail, unless ofcourse the saab engines are super weak?for reference, the 4g63 1st gen mitsubishi 2.0 engine can hold 550hp pretty easy as i had one, proper tune also means alot...
It is hard to accept for you maybe but videos tell the truth and there are many videos if you look for my other videos. Borh are automatic, both raced at automatic sport mode so cars decide on shifting. I'm not sure if you read the explanations but Saab is stg3 tuned and both are 300HP but S60R power on the wheels are less due to AWD.
@TurkishAerolines Sorry, vid's don't tell the true :-D But never the less, I'm not saying that this one isn't. I didn't know that it's an automatic, the gearbox of the S60 (or Volvo) is realy slow and it looses a lot of time.
@TurkishAerolines I'm not sure how good the Saab's Automatic is, but the volvo's is far slower than the manual (partially because power is restricted until 3rd gear i believe). It would be interesting to see this race with two manuals. But thank you for the interesting comparison. :)
I know of an another black aero 2004 estate running 270hp and 390nm. ecu tuning by abbotts with a nice exhuast is all it took. the surge of tourque is so strong.
You're badass dude 260 with camera in one and lolll

sorry, don't believe this! I have a R aswell, manual, and you can hear that you are shifting way to soon!

@BlackV40 its not the transmission! Its the drivetrain! Do you understand what drivetrain loss is? Look it up.
jdeuink 1 year ago
@jdeuink what is not the transmission? I'm not talking about loosing power by the drivetrain, I'm talking about loosing TIME with the automatic trans
BlackV40 1 year ago
@BlackV40 right and im saying it wouldnt have made a difference, the Saab would still win because of the drivetrain loss.
jdeuink 1 year ago
@jdeuink doubt it, but it's possible.

@jcadlols The SAAB also have the NM-restriction on 1:st and 2:nd gear and the automatic in that car is about as slow as the one in the Volvo.
A real 300hp saab (like the on in the video) is actually way quicker then most people recon!
