@DontRunWithDaScissor It's all practice. On the down stroke you kind of slap the strings with your palm, and on the immediate upstroke you strum the chord. Once again practice, and it will come. I know 5 or 6 guys who all do it slightly different, so find what works for you and go with it.

Hey Marty and thank u for being a teacher to me since I started playing. I have a question. I am not very coordinated in my left hand; for instance, I play guitar hero on lefty because my right hand is better on the frets. Do you think this could be a problem for me in the future of trying to master the guitar? I am getting a better at an acoustic but feel this is slowing me down. Oh, I am naturally right-handed.
