  • This is one "windy" video. =p

  • This video is popular on Muscat

  • I love this this interpretation!!!! This is Valse!

  • Inca una din marile valori pe care le-a dat Romania in cursul istoriei.

  • Awesome! Were there ever any better. TY m for posting.

  • I've been listening to Chopin waltzes for 60 years, and no one plays them better than Dinu Lipatti. As one of his admirers once said, his talent is of "divine spirituality."

  • @MartynSerge

you don't understand Lipatti. Time is time, and it's like that. He's giving his soul when he plays, and about feeling I'll say that people who have heart are the only ones who can feel

  • 3 people are tone deaf.

  • No one plays quite like Lipatti. Everytime he played it was like a little bit of heaven.

  • I love this piece, is beautiful and is divinely played by Lipatti!

  • what would we do without Lippati's recordings gracing us...

  • Every time I listen to Master Lipatti's recordings he makes me feel. Sadness, joy, anger, calm... And that makes him one of the greatest performers ever. It is sad his life was so short, but it is amazing such a short life left us so many masterpieces.

  • La serie dei Valzer di Chopin incisa da Dinu Lipatti è una delle registrazioni da portare con se su un isola deserta.

  • Nobody can play like this man.

  • His "clustered" take on the rhythmic groupings and the ornamental notes are somewhat unique (though not necessarily preferable)...definitely brings out the "valse" in the first section from 0:01 - 0:32.

  • There are so many excellent classical pianists, but there is only one Lipatti. I think it was Karajan who said that listening to Lipatti was not listening to piano music but to music.

  • Magnifico pianista!!!!!!!

  • kinda difficult isnt it?

  • It is always more difficult to understand then to play

  • Everybody comments that Lipatti's interpretation of Chopin's waltzes is a bit too... furious and speedy. This interpretation shows just how wrong we are... in considering Chopin only an incurable romantic, rather than a technical perfectionist. Thank you Mr Lipatti

  • Wow, I tend to play this song slow and sulky, until the quicker parts, then I play it as fast as he does. I can't believe it's interpreted so different than how I did, but it sounds so amazing!

  • That was Beautiful, I like how he sped up during those main parts, its different but it sounds right. Well done.

  • osturrock.I agree with you. Lipatti`s is by far the best performance of this waltz

  • I'm not a classical music fan, however there are some masterpieces that I like very much, this one included... beautiful, really

  • i like this waltz very much, and I went through several videos here by amateur performers before this. You can imagine how I enjoy this.

  • For me, this is the best recording of all time of this waltz - Lipatti stands back through his technical excellence and lets Chopin shine.

  • Thank you! Your comment make me proud I'm a Romanian. Indeed, an astonishing performance.
