Sir, I would love to train you how to clean a lobster when cutting it in half. You showed those poor students the most dangerous way to crack the claws. First of all...you're supposed to use the back of the blade....not the sharp side. You don't want an accident to involve losing a finger. My goodness!!!! I've seen a lot growing up in kitchens, but that is just a lack of attention to safety!

I work at a Chines restaurant part time at night delivering and I had some dinner with them for the chinese new year. I watched the head guy simply tear the lobster apart partly by hand. He removed the head shell off first and cut it into little pieces while it was alive. :)

Some of you watched 'Little Mermaid' a few too many times. Lobsters are bugs. Seriously. They don't even have the nerves or any part of the brain that registers pain or fear. Have you never swatted a fly or mosquito? Same thing. Same class of animals - arthropods. I'd much rather see folks eating bugs than baby sheep. Now, where's my garlic butter?

No actually the lobster wasn't dead, and I'm glad I was able to see this because I can report here. When he cut through that ANIMAL'S head it's tentacles (feelers) jiggled from PAIN. How was it dead then suleydaman!! That's animal abuse, and I'm gratefull my family refrains from eating from most eastern asian restauranate simply because of the way they kill and treat those poor animals.
