...The one role, the 1975 episode "The Sanford Arms" (which would, of course, go on to become an extremely short-lived spin-off series in 1977), she played a hooker. ;-) But she looked HOT in that episode! Too bad if she's really gone...

Anyway, hopefully "Sanford" (and "Grady" too!) will come back to the idiot box someday soon. We need it, man. We deserve it. Until then:

By the way...what in the civilized world happened to Margueritte Ray?! I know she went on to do some soap opera work after "Sanford," then made a few more appearances on network programming. (She also had a tiny role in Cheech & Chong's 1980 flick, "Next Movie.") But, according to the "masses" on IMDb, she passed sometime around 1998-1999. Is that a fact? Because she did kinda just dissappear from the entetainment scene by the 90's. She did have 2 minor roles on "Sanford and Son" in the 70's...

I'm really glad BET decided to bring "Sanford" back in 2008. Probably the best thing they've done on that network since selling-out. (It's just horrific now in 2011!) It'd be nice if they brought the show back for at least this summer--since this year, 2011, will mark the 30th Anniversary since the "Sanford and Son" brand came to an end for good ("Sanford" was a wrap by summer of 1981). Only 25 or 26 episodes, too. But that's wishful thinking with Bamboozled Entertainment Television. :-)

I know this revival was on NBC 1980 and 1981, and it used to run on BET, but when it returned there recently, lots of episodes were really badly edited, stupid commercials! This Spinoff was OK, but I'd say Fred Sanford was the only funny one, he even dances in The Sammy Davis Jr. episode "The Benefit" as well.
