I'm listener to all sorts of music. People need to be more open minded since music is universal for all listener, that is, if they can understand the meaning of it and that it accords to their personal being. I've met western scholars and a few western students are into Chinese instrumental because they said its very relaxing and they like listening to it whilst they study. That's intelligence.

Just a hypothetical question. And yes, I agree. Thoughtful music isn't popular. Most people don't seek out music that "touch their souls", for lack of vocabulary, but rather listen to whatever plays on the radio. For them, music isn't as special as we might perceive it to be. We can't do anything other than feel sorry for them.
