Yeah, maybe on drag radials, but the 116mph is the trap speed it posts running the 12.7 that I mentioned. Heck, it's 0-60 time is even a lame 4.9 seconds. I'm not saying it's a terrible car, I in fact love the car, it's just a terrible car for not living up to it's name.
Actually its gone 12.20's on street tires. And that 0-60 you mentioned is actually off by .6 seconds. The reason the GT500 doesn't run times comparable with other 500hp cars is because of its weight. Besides the other cars you mentioned are 2 seat SPORTS CARS while the GT500 is a 4 seat PONY CAR. I'm not defending Shelby because frankly I hate the car. After all the 03-04 Cobras with 390hp ran 12.50's stock.
