Though it's not totally combat ready now, the F35 Lightning is about 1/3 to 1/2 the price of the f22 with superior capabilities. No point in spending money on that jet if a better one is about to hit the market.

Refusing funding for new stealth fighters is a good idea - We have the air force power to crush just about any enemy other than China or Russia, and F-22s are fking expensive. $3.5 Million for tunnels that save thousands of turtles vs. ~$150 Million for a SINGLE F-22 fighter jet.

Heard what they did in Ohio? GM(I think)moved an auto part factory to another country and a company that makes windmills for energy bought it and is making them now. Maybe the government should consider replacing the 500 OLD coal power plants around the US with windmills made in Detroit.
Meanwhile in Ohio a Spanish company is planning on opening a wind power plant. Spain has a LOT of experience with wind power. Too bad the only wind in Washington is the government farting around.

On a serious note about the F22... It is actually a grossly overpriced piece of equipment. Though it's not totally combat ready now, the F35 Lightning is about 1/3 to 1/2 the price of the f22 with superior capabilities. No point in spending money on that jet if a better one is about to hit the market.

Refusing funding for new stealth fighters is a good idea - We have the air force power to crush just about any enemy other than China or Russia, and F-22s are fking expensive. $3.5 Million for tunnels that save thousands of turtles vs. ~$150 Million for a SINGLE F-22 fighter jet.
