@wesley917 they probably would at certain stages of the game (probably during the time when scottie pippen wasnt around or wasnt available to play), the same way players like lebron and kobe or wade have matched up in the past in closing minutes of the quarter.
The thing that separates carmelo with most scorers is that he uses a lot less energy then most of them. Kobe, lebron, wade, durant those guys work hard for their 30 points but melo seems to do it with ease and using a lot less energy.

So my friend finally told me how he started dunking, he's shorter than me (he’s 5'6) but jumps over a foot higher! I'm in my first week of the program now and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to start dunking!

If you watch a tunder game everytime westbrook goes on a fastbreak and no1s between him and the basket he tosses the ball back to durant for him to score instead of himself. Durant only cares about scoring and westbrook wants triple doubles now. Carmelo isnt as bad as those two though.
@yogd4life Can you give me a reason why Westbrook wouldn't want to get assists seeing as he's a point guard? I guarantee you lots of players don't care about filling up stat sheets, they just care about doing whatever it takes to get their squad to win. Some players are just able and willing to do more game in and game out. If Westbrook gives the ball up to Durant on a fast break and the crowd gets going, isn't that a win for everybody except for players on the opposing team?

Everybody don't fight about who is the best scorer in the NBA cos all of you are forgetting a lot of great scorers. MJ, Wilt, AI....I think this 3 are unbeatable when it comes to scoring but I think AI should be the better because of his small size and he can give you 30+ points......PEaCE

Apparently he used the training program over at snipurl[dot]com/nbatraining and gained 14 inches in his vertical leap! look at how many assists carmelo has compared to lebron. Also durant is another ballhog who cares about only scoring. If you watch a tunder game everytime westbrook goes on a fastbreak and no1s between him and the basket he tosses the ball back to durant for him to score instead of himself. Durant only cares about scoring and westbrook wants triple doubles now. Carmelo isnt as bad as those two though.

I guarantee you lots of players don't care about filling up stat sheets, they just care about doing whatever it takes to get their squad to win. Some players are just able and willing to do more game in and game out. @yogd4life you clearly dont play basketball theres a stat called EFG% which u prolly dont know anything about it means efficient field goal percentage michael might shoot 5/10 but have 10 points kobe could shoot 4/10 and have 11 points which means his fg% is lower but efg% is higher.... kobe has one of the highest efg%s in the league which means a lot more than fg%... they usually dont talk about fg% on tv becuz its not that important and efg% is too hard to explain to casual fans

@yogd4life alright ive been guessing on the stats but after u said that i looked it up lebron shoots 50% kobe shoots 45% but kobe shoots a higher 3 point % like i said and u said that was wrong... kobe takes more 3s than lebron which makes his total fg% lower not to mention that lebron is a 6'8 SF most of his baskets are layups which is why his shooting % is in the 50s lebron does not have a good jump shot kobe on the other hand might have a few layups a game but the rest are jumpshots

@yogd4life and the part that u dont get is the cavs run their offense through lebron he was shooting 50% because he would shoot if he could get a good look and if he couldnt he would let some1 else shoot... whereas the lakers triangle offense doesnt run through kobe so a lot of times the ball will go through everyone and get to kobe and he will have to take a shot since no1 else can get one kobe takes 10x harder shots than lebron and makes 5% less shots thats why kobe has rings and lebron doesnt

@darrellm6 Kobe has rings because he had shaq...now he has gasol, artest, fisher, odom, bynum, etc....lebron? lebron only has himself...it takes a team to win
