@trcsonic Yes. They've been entirely inconsistent about it when actually designing the game and such, but if you actually asked them they'd tell you that. Current DK=DK Jr., Cranky=Original DK.

@KonaKonaKaabisteru Okay, Cranky is Original DK, DK Jr. is Original DK's son. They've been inconsistent about whether or not Current DK is Cranky's son or grandson. In 1999 they asked Rareware, and they responded by saying that Current DK is Cranky's son, and thus is also DK Jr. In the 2003 remake of Donkey Kong Country, the website restated that Current DK was indeed Dk Jr. DKC Returns however referred to DK as Cranky's Grandson. Whether or not this retcons DK out of being DK Jr. is debated.
