  • Yes these are fabulous cars, and luckily I happen to own one too! Sitting behind the wheel and you feel like a Spitfire pilot with the big old bonnet stretching before you! Mine is a '56' Mk. 3 one of the last to be made with the 2.2 litre lump ,--the same as the Humber Hawk and goes like the wind. Everything is so different on these old cars compared to todays bean cans. Massive proper chassis and chunky metal everywhere. I love my Sybil and so does everyone who meets her.

  • does any body know were to get parts for the car. i am getting a 1948 sunbeam talbot 90. it has no motor and no tranny

  • Congratulations on the restoration.

Superb cars....I grew up in one of these in the 60's.

Would very much like to trace the whereabouts of the same car.

It was a 1956 mk3 supreme. Two tone green 523BPF if anyone knows.

  • My neighbour in Holloway, has a 48 in freshly

painted cream, stunning car and he drives it like a hot snot. It looks and sounds brand new, he did the entire resoration, other than the spray, on the street over the last four months.

  • hey - just saw this. I had a 1956 Mk III for a year or two in the mid-60s, cost £65. The sills had rotted away, the overdrive didn't work, the clutch thrust bearing went twice, and there was massive play in the steering. Still, I loved driving it. It went like the clappers, and that lovely stretch of bonnet stretching out ahead was something you don't get with modern cars. It replaced an RME Riley 1 1/2-litre. Sanity then set in - a 1963 Minivan, cost £120.

  • I have a same car. Love this car !!

  • lovely old girl. Cheers for the video! Mine is a 52

  • I own one of these cars. Just a year younger, black with more rust and needing its radiator sorting out.

    Brilliant vehicles these old sunbeams!!

Good job with getting it back on the road!!

  • Nice video and well done on bringing the old car back to the road.

  • great

  • Great to see this car on the road rather than languishing in a garage. It looks fantastic!
