@ARMA365 When you're in the National Guard, you are ran by the state your unit is located in. Therefore, hurricanes, tornado's, or any natural disasters are your problem. Your college money can also be cut at any moment due to the state cutting back their budget. Also, most National Guard units are not as well equipped as active duty units or reserve units. If you're thinking of joining, you definitely want to do your research.

Yes and no.

After 9/11 we did a lot of state mission for Operation Noble eagle but the 2/108 got sent to Iraq after an MP unit took part in the invasion.

State Active Duty is sweet; $125 a day pay, all meals paid for, live at a Holiday Inn for free, getting laid is always a plus ... Memories ...

Federal Active Duty is just like regular Army BS with a lot less pussy if you are an infantryman.

Im a 6 year active duty infantry Staff Sergeant, who is know movign to the New your National gurad, and this video is crap they show the Marines doing a beech landing how fucked up is that.
