@Raioboya Impossible since we Brits promised never to go back under the 1984 treaty and that HK is legally belongs to China and there is nothing we could do without breaking any international law - The UN recognise Chinese sovereignty over HK and it's resolution forbids any re-colonsations. China already have right to defend their sovereignty terrorities and China would not have given HK independent or give it to ROC (Taiwan). The PLA also have to defend HK too.

Within 10 years - British flag go down like this in Scotland if Scottish people says Yes and replace with Scottish flag.

Scottish national party won today (6th May) and within four years Yes/No possible. If they says Yes this could lead to the end of the UK thus we may no longer called British cos this may lead to dissolution of Britain.

@taki619 That would be unlikely cos like I told you before, the Chinese made law after Taiwan threatened independence some years ago (Taiwan is Chinese terrority despite different political system). which forbids independence and that covers SARs too. Us Brits won't be back too cos Britain promised not to take back HK in the 1984 treaty signed by Zhao Ziyang and Mrs Thatcher.

We can't do anything to help HK now cos we are tied to that promise. Sorry HK.

@international153 Not likely cos Britain will not return to HK cos of 1984 treaty and that Britain wishes to make friends and trade with China.

China said HK is now declared Chinese sovereignty terrority protected by 1984 treaty and Chinese law which also forbids HK Independence too.

Chinese government made sure HK remain Chinese terrority for long time to come - Britain will forgot about HK as long as China remain strong. Cunning Chinese government minsters more like foxes!
