@BlvdGuitarist Not auto tune dude. When he went high for that part; his voice cracked a bit. I can tell you from seeing them play live countless times. Its not always perfect, but those imperfections make me love this band. It's all them. The raw energy. True talent, no need for auto tune.

The reason Adam and Fred sound a little better than usual is because I can imagine it's easier to hear your self sing in a setting like this as opposed to a venue with loud people and shitty monitors

@zuzuzuzu47 There is actually no auto tune. He is slightly off during the chorus, its not very noticeable, but it is there. Auto tune sounds very different than this. We all know this. This has been perfectly recorded, thats why it sounds so great.

there is auto tune, but obviously not alot, just enough to help them stay on pitch. but at the end as u can see it does work with screams cuz screams arent an exact pitch and ur able to hear the auto tune trying to correct the pitch of the scream more. btw tbs didnt decide to auto tune them selfs, its the guys at aol sessions who edited the song.

@OrbitalPatrol look up auto-tune in wikipedea, first sentence says it, pitch correction software, nothing to do with robotic. and yes this is live in the sense that they are all playing at the same time but this is recorded in a studio with individual tracks into a multitrack recorder which means they can be edited later. and if you want tuned vocals you tune them after you record them, not while you record them. trust me, this is not unedited live audio like you would get at a concert.

@OrbitalPatrol plus you can also edit only sections with auto tune, it doesn't have to be applied to the whole song. vocals can be split in editing and worked by sections. listen to any other live performance of tbs and the singers vocals are terrible, they are much better in this one because they are tuned.

I own a studio... and Auto tune can't be selective. If it was being used, there would be no wrong notes. natural human error. And I hear many wrong notes that are natural to human error. which means that there can't be auto tune. Maybe they're just good?

Listen at 3:44. You can hear the pitch changing while he screams. Auto-tune can be done live, it's not something that has to be edited in or done in post production. And not all auto-tune sounds like T-Pain or Lil Wayne, you can adjust it to sound pretty convincing.
