Ok, first, I find it incredibly ironic that this song "sold" me to subscribe, haha.
Second, is this your arrangement or did you get it from somewhere, because I think you are already incredibly talented just from your singing let alone you composition skills.
For the video and the overlapping footages on the green screen, I would suggest to evaluate to keep different dimension for the singers depending on how close or far away from the camera is the character . The bass for instance is in the back of baritone and lead and it should be a little bit smaller (not much!) : )
@okrimitnoc haha yup! I do love a challenge! this song wasn't that hard, though it was more difficult then I expected from listening to it. I'm working on a couple really difficult ones now, one is just hard to sing, and the other one is ridiculously rangy. it has my top note and it comes about a whole step from my bottom note :P
and thats a great idea bout the green screen! I didn't think of that. I'll definitely do that on my next video. thanks!
Very good. Many people don't realise that not everyone needs auto tune to pitch a note spot on. As I have perfect pitch I know how frustrating it must be for you when people accuse you of using autotune.
If I am allowed to constructively critisise this, the stereo mixing doesn't seem true to the position of each part, probably more noticable because I am listening with headphones. Also how come the 3rd parts video is a bit fuzzy?
Don't get me wrong, I am a fan and I subscribe :-) Pete
@goodchappy thank you! yes, it gets annoying. and of course you're allowed to. I totally didn't even realize that. you'll see if you look at my other videos that I always do the stereo mixing the same way. but this video I mixed up the order of the parts on video… I completely just forgot to change the stereo and I must've spent 45 minutes trying to fix the baritone part (the 3rd one). apparently even though it was the 2nd part I recorded the lighting changed for that one video… haha
Kick-ass Dan, that was great! And the extra interactions when the characters look at one another is simple and effective. Your videos really improve each time. Keep it up!
Wow, I remember this song from when I was a kid. Believe me, that's been quite a while back.
For what it's worth, I think you did a pretty good job singing this, having never heard it before a week or so ago. I, for one, appreciate your talent, and hope you continue to post things like this. It just gets better every time.
