To me, when you can fdill the royal albert hall you are big. These days we we like to measure sucess by way of a popularity contest among kids and teeny boppers. What a shame. I can tell you that JB is definitely considered very big indeed by other musicians.
every time I hear this concert, I'm listening to the awesome music while thinking "I wonder if I could steal his sunglasses......." and I still don't know why.....
I have to respect.....Joe's amazing skills....nobody can dispute that...IMO..!! Perhaps the time wasn't right..? No freakin' way.....this man will carry the torch...of excellence.....I'm just a keyboard player...... with insight...?
maybe its a good thing that he will never be "massive" ... though that would bring some great music to a wider attention, with a lot of fame comes a lot of anticipation and I think there is a balance...
at the end of the day, joe is respected as an amazing musician... he is happy and his fans are happy, fame isnt everything..
He is the man, and whoever said he'll never be in popular culture forgets the lesson that the XFL taught us about the media and mainstream audiences... You can shine up all the bells and whistles to make people show up, but in the end it will be raw talent that keeps them there. Joe is one of the most incredible, raw blues players ever. The Killers, and the Jonas brothers can suck it. Joe's band has more musicianship within the backup players than these other jokers do all together.
he is as big as he ever will be. He will never be in popular culture because well, their interest is in bands like The Jonas Brothers, The Killers, and Panic! At The Disco
basically popular culture does not know great music like they used to. If this was the 70s or 80s Derek Trucks and Joe Bonamassa would be HUGE
@bouwmr " He will never be in popular culture " not necessarily true, time is on Joe's side, and he is already popular and popularity is increasing daily. It is just that some of us saw the light before the others.

bad camera shot, but great song, and immortally brilliant artist, Joe Bonamassa is truly a standard of talent.
