Never, or almost never, are modern animals' bones being fossilized. This is because when animals die their bones are almost always eaten or else break apart through the forces of air and sunshine. Yet there are billions & billions of fossils around the world, billions of just 1 kind of nautiloid alone in the Grand Canyon. Why is that? Since bones fossilize when buried rapidly in water and covered with sediment, it seems obvious there must have been a world wide flood to explian what we see.
