  • This is probably from Denver's '66 debut, right?

  • @MusicbyBenjamin Yeah, you're right. It's from his self-produced 1966 "John Denver Sings."

  • Honestly I like John Denver's version more than the Beatles. It's just more felt and full of compassion. Not that I hate the Beatles or anything I love their music it's just Denver's was a lot more beautiful.

  • Beautiful combination of song and singer. Thank you, John.

    Thank you, RedKitsuneRayouko for posting.

  • Classic Beatles. Classic Denver. Thanks for sharing.

  • I've heard all versions of this song.... to this day I still think that John Denver sang this song the best, better than the beatles ever could, the emotion behind his voice and the way his guitar sings.... it still can bring me to tears

  • love John denver. Love The Beatles. This is my favorite song. Truly amazing.

  • Now I want to learn how to play the guitar. And play the piano again. I used to play the piano. My dad had several John Denver music books from back in the 70's (my dad loves his music too, thats how I learned to love JD's music) and those became my favorites to play. But I haven't played the piano for over for years- when I was 18. Now I really want to play it again.

  • As always, beautiful. I listened to the Beatles version just to compare and of course JD's was better IMO. His is more genuine and heartfelt.

  • such a beautiful voice for such a beautiful song
