  • like-to-dislike ratio is simply unfair.

  • How Long have you been playing?

  • Geat playing. Yani sounds great too. Would you tell me your mouthpiece and reed set up.

  • r u reading that or did u transcribe by ear?

  • Where did you find the music for this?

  • what is your sax's mark?

  • you sound pretty good!

  • Really good!

  • Nice job. Cannonball was one of the greats, and is too often overlooked when considering jazz legends. Same w/his brother Nat, who was a great cornet player.

  • I respect you deeply. Yet it is almost impossible to get Cannonball's drive, because that was part of the man's creative urge. And sheer energy is no solution either, I think: Sonny Stitt had plenty of that, but it didn't make him a second Bird.

    But hats off to you!

  • Those licks and phrasing are Cannonball's not sim833's. He is playing a transcribed solo. Not to put his playing down, but credit should not be where credit is not due.

Overall pretty nice work. I will say that if you work on the articulation that cannonball uses on his 16th notes, then it would swing a LOT harder. His phrasing mostly (with a lot of exceptions of course) tongue-tongue-slur-slur.

I've been working on solos from his bossa nova album. He's got some sweet licks and phrases thr

  • very smooth transitions & excellent hits! really enjoyed listening...

  • Is that a Yani??

  • yes it is

  • Good work-I think his solo(and the entire album featuring 'Work Song')is sadly inderated.Hope you've heard 'Never Will I Marry'(The Pollwinners) and 'Barefoot Sunday Blues'(Takes Charge). Essential listening-and keep going, man!

  • I know them all, and love them all

  • nice work! definitely one of my top favorite cannonball tunes to play =)

  • Well done. Some nice moves in there.

  • nice work!

  • yanis are fucking sweet, i'm saving up for one, not for tone but the respones, how much u get yours for?

  • I've never liked Yanis, response is decent, but has weird key lay-out when compared to Yamahas and Selmers. If you got the cash go for a selmer, in general, better response than Yanis. much better tone.

  • Nice man!

You have a pretty good tone, good job!

  • Very nice

  • nice!
