This piano version is much more sad than the guitar one, which is also sad but also so angry, the piano one is more gentle... both are amazing though :) and that pause before 'caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave­' for taking breath!

Glad to see someone else reads Musewiki! It's so interesting to learn all the details behind the songs. Hadn't read about this being a keyboard mounted on a piano case though, or I've forgotten. Leave it to Matt to reinvent an instrument! Love both versions of Cave, with and without the guitar, fainting is a huge likelihood in the presence of this great band. <3 Muse!

I always thought Cave sounded like it could come from The Resistance... With this rendition of it, I can see where those thoughts came from. Especially with the piano part at the end, it's just so beautiful. :)

OH!!! I SOOOOO LOVE Matt, Chris, and Dom looked at each other and then smiled at last 30 seconds in this video! It looks like they all recalled those early crazy days when playing Cave again!
