  • Oh god...

  • These guys suck balls. But the snare drum player on the far left.......stud.

  • @amodernromance wtf ?

  • @pugs321 it's a joke buddy, get your panties out of a bunch. I'm the guy on the left... I love those dudes

  • @amodernromance

I don't have any panties I have boxer briefs and your mouth is small

...and wheres the cymbals players at your school!??!

  • 3rd bass is lazy in tech

  • does anyone else hate yamaha's craptacular marching drum stands,

  • @nzkyag I hate em! They're good for like a year or two, but after that they just suck.

  • @benjiontenors the design is so unergonomic. Why oh why? Can't Yamaha just stick to one thing instead of like 20?

  • Holy Shit! I housed there a few years back with the corps that I marched. Awesome band room!

  • haha dude for highschool that was prtty good.. missing like half the exercise, but that was hot either way lol.. nice job

  • hot bandies :( Why can't we have them too?

  • thats what i though. too bad thats the best part lol

  • martin high school drumline arlington texas

    listen

  • guard girls @ :14? haha

  • that was awesome for hs! though, because of the sound quality, all you could hear was bass for a while, haha

  • thats hello good for a high school. cant believe ppl leave bad comments. its not DCI

  • cool man :)

  • that was pretty balla

  • aww. they left out the solo

  • esse yostube e uma marda

  • snares can be together more, watch on accents getting close to the tripilet role for a measure

    tenors can be together more

  • Pasco has nothin on Wenatchee man

  • u guys have alot of tropheys lol

  • snares were dirty

  • Snares are hard :\ you have to have the same timing for each snare and making sure the spacing for each notes are even for every player on the snares

  • i know this is old but i mean common third bass that rim saver is there for a reason

  • HI mr Lyon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That was pretty good. Basses sounded sick.

  • wow! great job especially for a high school drumline!

  • good bassline i wish ours was like that

  • Wow... THat is amazing for a high school

  • Comment removed

  • that was GREAT! my only complaint was no snare break/solo =/ lol

  • I couldn't agree more my friend. This was pretty good, only complaint is I couldn't hear the tenors on my favorite part.

  • GO ISAIAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow this was alot better than i assumed it would be! great job guys!

  • excellente!

  • good job guys! 5/5

  • For those of you saying that they suck... Think about this for a moment. This is a high school, and kids are still learning. And to those of you who say they shouldn't even try to play this, you're wrong. They play harder stuff to get better.

  • Nice job! I'm, by the way, from Webb City, but i'm in junior high. Also man, Benji you're rockin out the tenor part. That guy beside also did a neat job. Nice!

    5/5...

  • Shut up Sam....

  • niiiccee

you guys got the black max heads

    our drumline just got those

  • nice job guys. im one of the snares at Lee's Summit High school. we've gone to the past few Webbstock's and I think we've met up at other band comps too. Our line always does really well at your comps ha. Anyways good job, I just got the music for LatinLover Grande today, so hopefully we'll all learn it. anyways, peace.

  • looks like you guys have a lot of awards but ive never heard of you guys what state are you from?

  • We're from a small town in southwest missouri. We used to go to smaller regional competitions and pwn the heck out of them. But now we're on the B. O. A. Circuit. We did go to a smaller competition near Kansas City and swept all captions.

  • ohhh cool yeah i come from a good band too... were not allowed to say what school but we go to our state competition and have swept for 30 years in a row and we compete at B.O.A. St. Louis but Broken Arrow always wins they are like 2nd in the nation every year so yeah so tuff

  • im pretty impressed but i agree with the comments about the bassline, and im sure if the audio is just not great cus its indoor, or was the bass split in the beginning watered down?

  • The bass run in the beginning was as written, but this was the 2006 version of latin lover. I think the 2007 version has a slightly harder bass run there.

  • well bass 1,2, and 3 have bad technique. not playing in the center of the drum plus the sticks look like yard sticks. what school is this?

  • Man, I think It sounds great..

  • Can you send me the sheet music please?

  • too bad that the technique of the bassline is that bad! snares youre good!

  • What is this bad technique that everyone keeps whining about. The basses have better technique than most other high school lines. Plus you're probably only saying that cause of bass 3 playing a little differently, and more timidly, than the other basses. Please, explain how their technique is as bad as you make it.

  • @benjiontenors bad technique meaning, the players are look down, the first bass playing zones are bad, and stick hights and stick control are weird, i'd agree.

  • You guys had an amazing season last year. I was a senior at Ozark and I always enjoyed getting to hear you all perform.

  • for a group of kids that wasnt bad... they just need to lower their inner beats badly and it would be good

  • hold on never mind.the whole bassline needs to fix the mallet placing.but still good.

  • It may interest you to know that their teacher was the bass captain at the University of Indiana. I know for a fact that he fixed the problems, my son is playing in that line.

  • hey can you have your son send me the sheet music for all instruments? PLZ!!!

  • bass 3 needs to work on the mallet placing.(in the center of the drum) but it was still good guys nice job =)

  • and your marking time looks off maybe thats why its somewhat dirty

  • It's the camera again. the sound is off from the video a bit. If you watch and listen closely, the sound from the drums occurs before the stick hits the head.

  • i agree with wvhsdrumline53,which im guessing by his name was in this drumline at some time, with the dirty part. not as dirty as he claims but not as clean as bigt5067 says either. my drumline is playing latin lover grande and the 12/8 part is just so much fun you guys should've tried it

  • We're wChs, not wVhs. I may want to contribute the dirtyness to

    1. My camera had horrible sound quality in the recording

    2. It didn't help that the room bounced sound a lot

    3. the 150+ members of the band were all yelling in the room

Just take that into concideration, but I do agree, at the time it was dirty. Also, we would have tried the 12/8 section, but it was not avaliable at the time. The line's not near as good this year as it was last year, so it may not happen.

  • my camera is a $400 camera haha so it has good quality. im not saying that you guys suck though but just a little dirt that can be cleaned oh and never doubt your drumline i have 2 noob snares this year and i though we would have to water down parts bad but then eventually stepped it up and we actually have a decent snare line that at time is also like O.O wow lol so you never know ppl can step it up it just takes some motivation

  • Thanks, that helps.

  • wow that was pretty good. what am i kiding that was very good!!!

  • Thats funny you guys have the tallest guy on the smallest bass drum. It just looks funny

  • you should have seen our 2007 winter bass line. The guy who's on bass 5 was on bass 1. lol

  • WOW THAT SUCKED.....way too dirty. how ong have u been working on that???i guess not enough

  • Have you not looked at any of the other comments or even noticed the fact that the sound recording is horrible. I'd love to see what you can do, but wait, you don't have anything to show. So before you even think of trash talking anyone, at least have something to back it up. So as of right now, shut up douche bag.

  • Hey realy nice job and clean as hell

  • Nice job...those two bass girls are cute! lol :)

  • Nice, are the 2 snares from the right brothers?

  • No, they're both on the soccer team though. That's were the shirts are from. I'm telling them that someone thought that they were brothers. lol

  • lol, I thought they were twins.... :]

  • Oh and this is kind of random but, did you guys go to the Holiday Bowl in San Diego,CA?

'cause 'webb city' sounds uberly familiar. :)

  • No, but the band went to the Tournament of Roses parade in Pasdena, CA in 2006. I didn't get to march though because I was only in seventh grade at the time.

  • haha sick, your guy's Fall bass line is basically identical to our winter bass line. :)

  • We marched 4 basses for winter. What Winter circuit are you on. We were in the PSR class for MCCGA. Took first!

  • We actually don't compete. Our teacher is kind of lame, so we just practice music that we'll probably never preform. =[

  • nice bass splits especially those sextuplets!! holy crap!

  • Thanks. They're the cleanest for miles around.

  • Nice, boy can you hear the basses

  • crappy sound recording on the camera....

  • ahh

you guys didnt do the solos

    :(

  • Hard telling if it was clean since it was played in a room. Good job though

  • Good Job

  • Deff the best high school performance of Latin Lover. Seriously. And I have been looking at all of the videos for an hour. But this deff kicks ass. And I love the way the line uses the same stick heights. lol. Most high school lines don't focus on that.

  • thanks, it took us about 4 months to perfect, and this was at 3 months

  • Your bass line is really good as far as High School Drumlines go. The snares weren't as clean as they should have been but still good for High School. The snare solo does add a nice touch to the song, but if you had to edit it I can understand. Overall, nice job.

  • What happened to the first have?

  • we played the first part, skipped the middle and played the end so it would fit w/ the pre-game show. We may play the full thing next year

  • oh, why are you marking time, its a stand cadence, and the cavies dont even mark time.

tell the quads to use STICKS

  • 1st we march this in parades

2nd cavies do march this on occasion after performances

3rd I played tenors in this vid and it really doesn't matter that much unless you're a flipping perfectionist

4th keep in mind that this is a high school drumline

  • i agree with the stick thing it makes it stand out more but from what i saw the quadz were doing good for a high school band latin lover is hard to play because of independent sticking so i agree with benji

  • the quads are a little messy, and dont play whats written. you also skipped the snare solo. need to work on stick hieghts too.

  • 1st, this is marching band, you always play what's written or it sounds stupid

2nd we marched this in parades

3rd we skipped the entier second page for time

4th most of the cadence is forte and the cavies play at that height as well

  • i said you guys dont play whats written,

    and im a perfectionist

  • A little misunderstanding, and I kinda figured that you were. I'm right in there with you

  • sumdrummerkid,

You really need to lay off ... Sorry Benji ... but "sumdrummer" is getting on my nerves ... Listen Sumdrum, if you dont like it than dont listen to it, you obviously have no idia of what it is like to march a feild show, or a parade ...

  • don't apologize, I agree

  • the only really major thing I see is the bottom 3 basses are pounding

  • That would be called playing into the head. We do that a lot to get a loud sound. It may sound really bad on video, but that's because of the horrible video quality.

  • Thanks for the comment though! Those basses were told to play out more to be heard better on the field

  • im a college music ed major i play on the bass line and u can play on the hand without tensing up but there are many different techniques

  • cool. Our percussion guy played bottom bass in college, so it's his style i guess

  • Damn I'm getting old...

  • Damn good for a high school line.

  • Thanks, we're the best in our area

  • i see why =]...though i think it would sound better if it weren't in a room with those sound barriers and junk, outside might have been better, but very good job guys!

  • omgsh is that cadina?!?!?!

  • Wow, i'm playing snare!!! I am adorable in my black hoodie. lol.

  • woo! i love you guys! i think..i was in the building when your guys were doing that!

    i miss mr.lyons! woot!

  • now that ive played it and re-seen this again you guys dont play the whole thing but its cool and i guessing jut the area you in makes the video sound a little dirty for the basses and tenors but im just guessing the area you guys are in

  • yeah, our band room (where we recorded this) bounces sound a lot, plus the camera wasn't all that great. FYI, I didn't film this, I'm playing as the tenor furthest to the right

  • I'm glad someone finally recorded you guys on this and posted it. Great work and - Wow, way to rise to this new level of performance! Keep it up - there is no limit to where you can go if you commit to it and work at it. This year was just the tip of how far you can reach if you keep pushing your limits.

your Sooner alum & fan - NH

  • our band practices every day during the season basically. Our last competition was a week ago, so no more early morinings every day.

  • we skipped the middle section so it would fit for our pre-game show. We'll prolly learn it next season for competitions and stuff.

  • wow...all i have to say is sweet groovin...as a matter of fact...this is webb city missourri isnt it? i can tell because of the cardinal, we stayed there this summer during drum corps tour at the middle school just right across the big field

  • were did you guys get that music cuz ive been looking for that Latin Lover music forever haha so if possible send a link or whatever please!!!

  • Nice work guys. You've come a long way in the past couple of years. This is from one of your dads who also happens to be a musician. Ignore the comment from those who don't know where you've come from. How about a little "Optimus Prime"?

  • snares and tenors were dirty

  • it only sounded dirty. our band room bounces sound a lot. it would have sounded better is we were outside.
