Man, throw this tele in a trash and buy a Les Pau, for the style of your music a LP would fit u way way better, otherwise this amp doesnt sound good with tele, at least a strat. Don't know why but i hate telecasters hehehee... Keep Rocking!!!
These amps really hit home in a lot of ways without getting into much specifics of high end gain heads or vintage gear. I think this amp is a great go to amp which would satisfy the classic rocker or someone who was after a fat tube overdrive tone no pedals.I though clean it had a wholesome thick useful sound maybe not so jangly as a fender but it was a good sound. Some of the mid distortion sounds are interesting. I would maybe eq it or had the occasional pedal here and there for color.
Thanks...that thing sounds amazing really....I've been checking our amps her ein Finland...trued the peavey classic 30 which was great but didn't get a lot of top or bottom end...the vox ones are nice also...blackstar combos were nice but sounded different in the shops compared to all the reviews here, think they NEED to be cranked up before they sound amazing...and now this orange...amazing...
@Taygoo15 just looks like a standard Telecaster with stock pickups, when i went to the guitar shop the other day i had a go of one that looked identical but the one i used had a button on the volume control, so im not sure which one it is
@Taygoo15 Actually, its the baja telecaster, with Fender Custom shop pickups, twisted tele neck and broadcaster bridge pickups. Probably the best guitar Fender mexi makes.
to run a tiny terror though a 4x12... would you need two speaker leads to go through inputs in the back of the speaker cab for it to run at max noise? someone help me... i have a fender telecaster highway one, tiny terror and an orange 4x12 cab haha hotcake, two dealys and regenerator and a supershitfer... i want max tone out of it
nope you wouldn't need to leads the secondary input on the cabs is for another cab if you want to run your head through multiple cabs you can also run 2 heads through the cab at once with these 2 inputs for a very strange tone like a clean cranked amp and a distorted amp running through one cab for an excellent tone... hope i helped
i love chappers, don't get me wrong, but i think its better to hear what an amp really sounds like with what an ordinary, *but still great guitarist) not f*cking shredding, cheers dude, ive subbed :)
For an amp, this is extremely affordable compared to many other amps. Want to see an expensive amp? Look at Soldano, Diezel, and the more expensive Orange heads. This amp is really really affordable in comparison, and for the price this amp is incredible.
I haven't played or listened to many telecastres, but my impression so far is that they doesn't produce a very thick sound. To get that you need a good humbucker I guess.
True. Whether you put vintage underwounds on it, or active EMGs. A tele is a thin lightweight piece of alder or swamp ash, and high output pickups will make it louder, but it will still just be a loud alder twang. For metal, a mahogany body with high output buckers is king. Personally, I love my tele-parts-caster. I use underwound single coils, and with a high gain amp, it gets a really sweet overdrive sound without losing definition. But then again, I'm a punker at heart!
the tiny terror to me doesnt appear to be really adjustable. would it be okay sounding if i pumped it through all 5 of my pedals? and my 4 channel mixer.
The TT overall sounds better in my opinion. The Marshall still sounds OK but its a bit more expensive.
However, the marshall is louder, it also has three channels that can be switched via the footswitch that comes with it. The TT has only one channel so you're not going to be able to switch from clean to dirty as easy.
Actually this is wrong. You can only use 2 cabinets if they are 16 ohms each. 16 // 16 = 8 ohms. You plug one into each of teh 8 ohm outputs which are in parallel.
Hey, could someone tell me some of the songs he's playing? I would like to know the what the first three riffs are. If anyone could tell me I'd be very grateful. Ace demo btw, ive watched it like five times through at least :D
With the dist pedal itll probably sound pretty similar. Little differences though the 40/50 is gonna have el34 tubes whilw the TT has el84. The downside is that distortion pedals have a way of making many amps sound indistinct. i guess it depends on how much gain you use
foolish dildo, you clearly don't know anything about guitars, or anything guitar related for that matter. first of all, he's not using very much gain, and like previously stated, he's using a telecaster which isn't the best metal guitar around. just because he cares about good tone and doesn't use 10 tons of gain, like i'm sure you do through your shitty ibanez. you do realize that a cocky guitarist is never a good guitarist, people will just think you're a douche, which i know i do.
...yeah, maeby because he has humbuckers in his instead of the standard single coils which are the main reason the tele doesn't make a good metal guitar, unless equiped with humbuckers.
Can I ask you one question? How does it sounds on clean tones in band situations? Does it suits indie rock chords well? Isn't it too much distorted? Thanks, I liked your rithmic style, keep rocking!

Does anyone know how this amp compares with the Marshall DSL 401 in terms on volume?
Also, anyone know which would be better for music that sounds like paramore, jimmy eat world, brand new, funeral for a friend, flyleaf etc?
BrokenAmbience 3 years ago
i can't possibly think that the Marshall can be better than the TT (over all), even though I haven't heard the Marshall.
The TT is extremely loud even at 7 watts. (you can gig with 7 watts)
Though you can't drown your whole band with the TT if you only have a 1x12 cab, but hey.. Why would you have to drown your band?
I recommend this little devil
Hestjaevel111 3 years ago
The TT overall sounds better in my opinion. The Marshall still sounds OK but its a bit more expensive.

Does anybody here know if It is possible to run the tiny terror through two of Orange's 2x12 cabs?
d00derson 3 years ago
Sorry, I meant 1x12 cabs
d00derson 3 years ago
no you can't run it through 2 of Orange's 1x12 cabs since they have a resistance of 16 ohm. and the tiny terror has only one 16 ohm output.
i there are some 1x12 cabs that have a resistance of 8 ohms. so in this case it should be possible since the TT have two 8 ohms output.
cheers
