  • @xDetroitMetalx Street manners are GREAT!

That was one of the main focus point the engine builder brought up in the piston size (-16cc) the Compression ratio is a little higher than stock. Side note: the largest difference in drive ability was the swap of the steel flywheel, for an aluminum.

  • What compression ratio did you run this motor at? I'm doing a build similar to yours and I'm looking for those exact numbers.

  • @xDetroitMetalx not sure off the top of my head. it was a little higher than stock (10.44) i think maybe 10.8 or 11

  • just looked it up and its right at 10.5:1 - we were shooting closer to 11:1 but it ended up being fine.

  • I'm also running a 383 with the 280XFI. I read a post on another site that you are running the Comp 987 duel valve springs. I am also running the 987 have u had any problems with them? are u still running them? Comp calls for 26986-16 beehives but if your still running the 987 i might not change mine..thanks and nice car..Eric

  • @ericjen123 Are you still running the 987's ?

  • wow thats not bad at all

  • Nice car what does an engine like that cost? 7k?

  • After all supporting parts are installed, suspension correctly setup, and car is tuned. Id say thats about right.

  • What RPM are you turning with this setup? Where did you make most power?

  • @harleyheil, it was run to 6,600 in that Clip. i dont normally take it above 6,200.

Dyno chart is in "more info" to right, but peak power is right around 4,300

    hp is about 5,400

  • whats lloyd elliots website called

  • Sweet dude, Can't wait to see it!
