i had the xsara picasso for 6 years and it was a great car. i have no doubt that this car is as good and even better than the xsara picasso.

So it basically comes down to how much money you can spare...The C4 Picasso is my dream car but its too expensive to buy and run and I'm afraid I'm just going to have to settle for a Scenic instead.

3) Emmissions are somewhat higher than the Scenic meaning the Road Fund Licence costs a lot more than it does with the Scenic.

4) As the C4 Picasso has high repair prices (If the front and back bumpers experience even a minor 6mph collision they will be trashed and have to be replaced, at a cost of around £1800 all in!!!), its Insurance grouping is quite high, whereas the Scenic 1.5 dCi is only Group 4-5 (depending on the model and trim).

1) Its only been out since 2007 so used prices are still very high...and well over my meagre budget...I can pick up a decent low milage 2005 model Scenic 1.5dCi for under four grand,

2) It desperately needs a much better, newer, common rail diesel engine than the current 1.6 HDI...The 1.6 HDI is nowhere near as economical as the 1.5 dCi lump thats used in the Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic.

I've read hundreds of Car reviews lately, including all the specs, pros and cons and I've come to the conclusion that the only 5-7 seat MPV's seriously worth buying at the moment are the Citroen C4 Picasso (or the Grand version) and the Renault Scenic or the Grand Scenic.

I'd absolutely love to get a used C4 Picasso but I cant and wont for a few very good reasons..

I've had one of these for 6 months. It's much better than the Renault Grand Scenic, my previous car. There is still room for improvement but it's a hell of a nice car to drive and live with. 8 out of 10 for Citroen.

I honestly think America get some of the worst mid-priced and budget cars in the world, because you guys have a semmingly infinite amount of oil at lower prices than Europe, a lack of wide concern for the evironment, and an extreme lack of innovation and safety/emmission standards in the American market. For example, security and safety standards improved mainly due to the fact Europe have so many restrictions. America needs these cars, I agree because there's nothing wrong with them at all!

thats not actually the whole story,european car makers intentionally overprice their cars in the US,forexample the old citreon XM cost 55-60000$ in the US back in 92-94,they didnt sell many & they closed un in the US.Now the if the c5 costs 24000pounds in ther UK it would cost 34000$ in the US & at that price there isnt a european luxury salon that good in quality innovation & comfort,they'd steal the market,but they arent going to,theyl overprice here even if they come here.

you can if you import it , but then pieces will be expensive for example the oil change if you would get a oil filter then you will have to order it in europe ...

french cars are realy good if citroen sells their cars in north america it would be a failure because north americans likes big engines powerfull contrary in europe .

i just watched it again - still don't like the digital speedo, but the rest of it is very, very useful. i'd love to have all those cubbyholes in my car :D just got a single little one under the center armrest :(
