I sent my son to IHOPU!!! He is a mighty young man of God. The Prayer Room is an awsome place! These people said they spent 1 year looking at IHOP? How about 7 for me? 4 while my son has been there and 3 before that just making sure it was a place he should go for his education. He is on prayer room staff now. The hate is not appropriate. IHOP caused my son to become even more sold out for the Lord and caused wonderful changes in all our family. Do not touch God's anointed.
With every new and large movement especially around Jesus (Christianity) there seems to be opposition. Scripture can be used by many to contradict something or even raise "red flags". Its important to not only look at leadership but also the over all vision of a move. IHOP is only geared towards intimacy with the father. Because of this and what I believe I can receive and take part knowing my conscious is clean. Surprise, no one aces it with God, that should be obvious to any and all christians
Now I don't follow Mike, I support IHOP, and I think if there are mistakes made in the past clearly there should be investigation if whether people have repented for their errors.
Now there might be some "peculiar things" that might have been said, but never the less IHOP are our brothers and sisters in Christ, and using the words"cult, heretic, false prophet" are so LOOSELY thrown around today, that I am sad to say are placed on people they don't deserve. I was at ONETHING this past week in Orlando, and Mike Bickles primary part of his teaching was about SIN, and frankly I hadn't seen nor heard a preacher be as str8 up about sin as I heard Mike Bickle.

IHOP is a dangerous ministry! I have nothing against houses of prayer. But the leadership of IHOP and their roots need to be addressed for the spiritual abuse they cause.

Nevertheless, I see no purposeful deception. :) But I am concerned greatly for the church's future due to their weak base on the Word. Prayer definitely needed!!! I feel though that God will soon reach through any misunderstanding or deceiving spirit to them during their search for His presence :) Daddy never leaves us at ropes end.
Fasting is good, but their theological foundation has been too rigid and caused a block on development with the Lord which can cause misunderstandings of His heart and the Word. But Bickle is not God so don't expect him to get it right all the time. Many of the students have left because of the strain the rigor of the school has put on their growth. GREAT house of prayer and it's worship movement is very blessed. I wouldn't suggest the school though, the academics can be misguided.
IHOP isn't a false church but their theology has been very misguided. Those people are truly seeking God and He takes delight in their worship and prayer (trust me, no place knows how to worship like IHOP!!! )The issue IHOP's having is that their perspective on growing spiritually is BASED on discipline rather than on recieving the Holy Spirit.

IHOP was built on prophecy. It continues to grow by prophecies that have gone before. Mike Bickle is where he is by prophecy That is Biblical. As far as your concerns: those are yours only. Read 1st Tim or 2nd Peter and hear how we are to hold on to truth and reject false teachings. While much of what Mike teaches is right on point, there are some serious deviations from what is biblical. There is a false christ spirit infiltrating the body and we need to be wise about it. In response to this video I'd like to say that if someone is hanging on the words and teachings of one man or ministry and not searching the scriptures for themselves and allow God to speak to them personally then yes there is a possibility of getting hurt. Man is an imperfect being and may get it wrong from time to time. My suggestion is to search your own heart and let the Lord lead you to where you need to be.

Bob Jones has made mistakes. It is true. And he faces up to them. But he is still a real prophet of God. Those who reject Kansas City IHOP because Bob Jones has made mistakes need to take a serious look at themselves to see if they have made mistakes themselves. Jesus said to take the beam out of your own eye before taking the speck of saw dust out of someone else's eye. You and your church would not want to be thrown out because you made mistakes. Only expect perfection if you are perfect.
Bob Jones definitely is a prophet. Some people cannot accept that there are prophets now just like there was in the Bible. Bob Jones is not the only person that has seen hell. Nor is he the only person that has had experiences with Satan. Satan carried Jesus around.

We have stopped listening to it all together and have found other awesome worship songs to praise the Lord to. No more worry or questioning that funky undercurrent we often felt with "Misty Music". They are not forced to cut off communication with anyone, nor are they forced to stay on campus all the time. They have jobs, still keep in touch with families, visit friends, hang out with others, get married, have kids and their own ministries around the world in the the city. It is not a cult.

Gruen suggested a round table discussion about doctrine with 12 other unbiased respected leaders and Bickle would not have it. Bickle openly says they are a different breed, he sees himself in an elite position and the traditional church as second rate. my issue is this- why did Pastor Gruen take the time to prepare an extensive 132 page document for the sole purpose of pointing out the faults of another congregation? to me, that is a pure waste of time. James 4:11 says, "Don't speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize and judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging God's law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you." we are called to encourage... not condemn.
@liveyourlife17 Gruen prepared the aberrant report after receiving many concerning testamonies of people who were directely effected by "Mikes Prophecies" in a negative way and also after bringing the issue to Mike personally. I dont see the report as criticism or speaking evil against, but a diligent rebuke of love and holding a brother accountable. There are many sciptures in 2 Peter and in 1Timothy for example that speak to the issue of opposing false doctine and herecy.

This is about Jude 1:3-4 TELLS us to warn others of false teachers. To sit back and watch others speak heresy, and keep quiet about it is sin. @godisgood975 My perspective is that their prayers are sincere and fervent but much is to be seen by others with their international broadcasting etc... Matthew 6:5 says dont pray in this manner. It all seems so good but this is part of what makes IHOP think they are "higher level" Christians with an esoteric stand. There is NOTHING wrong with asking the Father for discernment and testing EVERY message. IF you do NOT pray for discernment like a child before the Lord...God help you. This just shows that the visits you took to IHOP weren't the same as mine. I had such an emotional connection to God at that place that I know for a fact that it is not deceiving. No one can fake bringing in the Spirit, not when he's that strong. I just feel bad for you because you didn't get the amazing feeling I do when I go there. God looks proudly at the IHOP ministries because they are doing his work. It's just sad that you look at the negative rather than seeing God's truth in that place.

Christ says beware of false prophets and false Christs and those who say here is Christ and there is Christ, dont believe them... etc. It is His warning of these things and His word that "possess us". I totally agree that believers need to stay away from IHOP and Mike Bickle and the Kansas city prophets `teachings`- and look to the word of God for the truth and trust the Holy Spirit for the Way which always points back to Jesus.

I watched your video. You both seem very sincere in wanting to seek out the truth, and I'm sure the Lord will lead you. As it relates to IHOP-KC, I have to strongly disagree with your assessment of the ministry. As a long-time staff member and worship leader, I think many of these questions can be "debunked" by talking to someone with a little more first-hand experience with the ministry. It's not perfect, but it is not as you have made it out to be. I welcome the dialogue.

@blesseddisciple Yes - I am actually from Kansas City. I was in the full-faith church network before Gruen's affair split the churches. I've read his report, and found that so many many things were taken wildly out of context. I also noticed that there seems to be absolutely no grace for a group or ministry or individual to grow in maturity about how to steward what the Lord has called them to do. If someone judged you by what you said about the Lord 25 years ago, things would be different.
@blesseddisciple So-called insiders who claim to receive death threats are so full of baloney. Mike and the ministry are incredibly open-handed with staff, and have encouraged people to pursue what the Lord is telling them to do, acknowledging that there is only a small percentage called to be full-time intercessors. Many staff have joined other ministries or pursued business ventures with no problem in fellowship. Check your sources and you'll find disturbed and untrustworthy individuals.

Can you name anything detailed in the abarrant report the Mike admits is in error and teaches differently today? If so, please detail. To my knowledge, its all the same if not worse.
Been involved with Ihop for 6 years, did an internship there, still involved in my local church, it's done me nothing but good. As far as those who say that people worship Mike Bickle, or Ihop, you've got to realize that people come to these type ministries from all sorts of backgrounds and levels of maturity....the Holy Spirit is able to correct such a person and get their focus back on the Lord. I've never seen anything that could be interpreted as Ihop wanting worship.
I've sttended OneThing conferances and my fiancee has gone through IHOP's fire in the night program. Everything i've read and heard taught from Mike Bickle and the IHOP staff always points me to Jesus, I've read some of the article&

I sent my son to IHOPU!!! He is a mighty young man of God. The Prayer Room is an awsome place! These people said they spent 1 year looking at IHOP? How about 7 for me? 4 while my son has been there and 3 before that just making sure it was a place he should go for his education. He is on prayer room staff now. The hate is not appropriate. IHOP caused my son to become even more sold out for the Lord and caused wonderful changes in all our family. Do not touch God's anointed.

With every new and large movement especially around Jesus (Christianity) there seems to be opposition. Scripture can be used by many to contradict something or even raise "red flags". Its important to not only look at leadership but also the over all vision of a move. IHOP is only geared towards intimacy with the father. Now there might be some "peculiar things" that might have been said, but never the less IHOP are our brothers and sisters in Christ, and using the words"cult, heretic, false prophet" are so LOOSELY thrown around today, that I am sad to say are placed on people they don't deserve. I was at ONETHING this past week in Orlando, and Mike Bickles primary part of his teaching was about SIN, and frankly I hadn't seen nor heard a preacher be as str8 up about sin as I heard Mike Bickle.

@blesseddisciple I agree with the blindness to their mishap! ... I can't say I know them well enough to say pride but blindness is a possibility as it with everyone. Nevertheless, I see no purposeful deception. :) But I am concerned greatly for the church's future due to their weak base on the Word. Prayer definitely needed!!! Fasting is good, but their theological foundation has been too rigid and caused a block on development with the Lord which can cause misunderstandings of His heart and the Word. But Bickle is not God so don't expect him to get it right all the time. Many of the students have left because of the strain the rigor of the school has put on their growth. GREAT house of prayer and it's worship movement is very blessed. I wouldn't suggest the school though, the academics can be misguided.

IHOP was built on prophecy. It continues to grow by prophecies that have gone before. Mike Bickle is where he is by prophecy That is Biblical. As far as your concerns: those are yours only. You may find some who will agree with you. But you are wrong. They are wrong. You have not sought God on this and gave him time to teach you about IHOP. Rarely has there been so much prophecy going before a ministry like there is with IHOP and Mike Bickle.

In response to this video I'd like to say that if someone is hanging on the words and teachings of one man or ministry and not searching the scriptures for themselves and allow God to speak to them personally then yes there is a possibility of getting hurt. Gruen suggested a round table discussion about doctrine with 12 other unbiased respected leaders and Bickle would not have it. Bickle openly says they are a different breed, he sees himself in an elite position and the traditional church as second rate. my issue is this- why did Pastor Gruen take the time to prepare an extensive 132 page document for the sole purpose of pointing out the faults of another congregation? to me, that is a pure waste of time. I dont see the report as criticism or speaking evil against, but a diligent rebuke of love and holding a brother accountable. There are many sciptures in 2 Peter and in 1Timothy for example that speak to the issue of opposing false doctine and herecy.

It all seems so good but this is part of what makes IHOP think they are "higher level" Christians with an esoteric stand. This just shows that the visits you took to IHOP weren't the same as mine. I had such an emotional connection to God at that place that I know for a fact that it is not deceiving. No one can fake bringing in the Spirit, not when he's that strong. I just feel bad for you because you didn't get the amazing feeling I do when I go there. God looks proudly at the IHOP ministries because they are doing his work. It's just sad that you look at the negative rather than seeing God's truth in that place.

Last time I checked the bible says don't judge. Thats Gods job not yours.. It's people like you that keep unsaved people out of the church. You should be ashamed to even. Post something like this on YouTube?!

@TheJoeschmoe88 Hi friend. I appreciate where you are coming from on this, but consider the flip side of the coin... maybe it is cults and christian herecies keeping the unsaved out of church? I dont know how much bible reading you do but have taken part of scripture to make a point and not the whole scripture.... IHOP, guaranteed, does not know everything, but anyone or organization that is true and obedient to what God has called them to, has my hi regard. @Garth5131 I know good and well were I stand and that is with Christ Jesus and the Holy Scriptures. Christ says beware of false prophets and false Christs and those who say here is Christ and there is Christ, dont believe them... etc. It is His warning of these things and His word that "possess us". Look, there is a lot of wacky things going on in IHOP, you know it, I know it, everyone knows it. It is neck deep into new age ideas and occult like practices... beware, be wise... God bless.

Absolutely no one worships Mike Bickle. I have never heard of that.
Mike Bickle's teachings come directly from the Bible.
Everything at IHOP is beautiful, and there are so many young people that get people into a relationship with Jesus.
Seek God yourself, pray about it, He will show you what's right and wrong.

Thanks so much for speaking the truth. I have done the research on the origins of IHOP - and it`s really disturbing stuff. I totally agree that believers need to stay away from IHOP and Mike Bickle and the Kansas city prophets `teachings`- and look to the word of God for the truth and trust the Holy Spirit for the Way which always points back to Jesus.

bottom line: the prayer movement that has come out of ihop-kc has been such a fearsome force actually destroying works of darkness in the earth. So satan has raised up many to attack it, and try and stop the intercession and discourage the intercessors. Because God does little apart from the answer of prayer-John Wesley. Our churchs are only as effective as the intercession behind them.

@godspeed812 Hi, it is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that has already won over darkness... and the "real prayer movement" has come out from "The Bible" not IHOP-KC... and real prayer is in many more churchs and hearts than just IHOP. This vid is not an attack against true intercession, but against false doctrines and teachings that create cult like organizations like IHOP, Mormon, JW, Jim Jones, etc... all believing they have "special revelation".
Christ is King and Holy is He.

I lived in KC for 9 months and from the moment i heard the first mike bickle message I started to worship him. I also enjoy worshiping the IHOP worship teams. But this video has opened my eyes... Seriously? no. What is the purpose of this video? To take a deep look into Mike Bickle's toilet bowl? I've been a Christian for 15 years and I can't even remember how many times my doctrine has changed, how many colossal mistakes I have made and how many people I have hurt..where's my toilet bowl video?

@peetzoman Hi... I believe I am firmly on the rock of Gods word as I have studied it and been taught well over the past 12 years. I believe anyone that can accept everything IHOP teaches without question is amiss in their foundation as there are clearly New Age and Eastern Mystic winds running through it. Not, everything done in "Jesus" name is of the Lord (Matt 7:22-23). Take a closer look at our resource meterial provided and be wise and discerning. God Bless... Happy Easter!

I would like to just say that, It is wise to be discerning, however in my experience in my life, which consists of lot's of abuse, a terrible divorce, and raising my three children as a single mom, one with severe mental & health disability's.My freedom began when I surrendered my whole life to Christ, then it became a daily choice to live my life in a manner pleasing to Him, to be the best mom I could be..He taught me, about prayer, gave

I watched your video. You both seem very sincere in wanting to seek out the truth, and I'm sure the Lord will lead you. As it relates to IHOP-KC, I have to strongly disagree with your assessment of the ministry. As a long-time staff member and worship leader, I think many of these questions can be "debunked" by talking to someone with a little more first-hand experience with the ministry. It's not perfect, but it is not as you have made it out to be. I welcome the dialogue.

@joannamaymusic Hi, I respect your defense of IHOP. but the only way I believe the aberrant report issues referenced herein can be properly addressed is with a point by point discussion with Mike and the dozen or so unbiased and respected church leaders from other ministries as Gruen had requested way back then. I've also been contacted privatly by other insiders that have left IHOP because of the issues and some actually claim to have recieved death threats. Have you read the aberrant report?

@blesseddisciple Yes - I am actually from Kansas City. I was in the full-faith church network before Gruen's affair split the churches. I've read his report, and found that so many many things were taken wildly out of context. I also noticed that there seems to be absolutely no grace for a group or ministry or individual to grow in maturity about how to steward what the Lord has called them to do. If someone judged you by what you said about the Lord 25 years ago, things would be different.

@blesseddisciple So-called insiders who claim to receive death threats are so full of baloney. Mike and the ministry are incredibly open-handed with staff, and have encouraged people to pursue what the Lord is telling them to do, acknowledging that there is only a small percentage called to be full-time intercessors. Many staff have joined other ministries or pursued business ventures with no problem in fellowship. Check your sources and you'll find disturbed and untrustworthy individuals.

@joannamaymusic That may be so... that is why I quoted the word "claim" to receive threats etc. As for being judged on what I said 25 years ago... if I stood by it to this day and never denounced it, I am really being judged on my current beliefs. Can you name anything detailed in the abarrant report the Mike admits is in error and teaches differently today? If so, please detail. To my knowledge, its all the same if not worse.

Been involved with Ihop for 6 years, did an internship there, still involved in my local church, it's done me nothing but good. As far as those who say that people worship Mike Bickle, or Ihop, you've got to realize that people come to these type ministries from all sorts of backgrounds and levels of maturity....the Holy Spirit is able to correct such a person and get their focus back on the Lord. I've never seen anything that could be interpreted as Ihop wanting worship.

I've sttended OneThing conferances and my fiancee has gone through IHOP's fire in the night program. Everything i've read and heard taught from Mike Bickle and the IHOP staff always points me to Jesus, I've read some of the article&
