  • heres a good example of why black women are the most beautiful women on earth.right here en vogue.sexy ass hell.back when black people could sing our asses off.not today though.

  • OHH Terry Ellis......Those beautiful eyes....hmmm

  • @ShellsMusicboxx2 Cause folks are going with what's going to sell and a lot of dumb people buying it.

  • En Vogue = definition of fine black women...doesn't get better

  • I think Maxine (the short one) looked best w/ her hair like this

  • fav part @ :51

  • IM only 22 and i found that man.....HELP me please STAY WIT ME FOREVER....ohhh

  • I miss the early 90's,and all the good music that came from it.

  • DAMN I MISS THEM

  • @Lewis7707 Fo'sho!

  • I love these girls then and now. They had class, the best video's (everyone of them), they were sassy, sexy, funny, trendsetters, and they definitely could make the little black dress look so classy and chic. En Vogue still my FAVORITE Girl Group EVER. I loved that everyone of them could sing lead and did and all of their songs where HOT.

    TEAM EN VOGUE.

  • When they first came out, i believe the year was 1990; i was in 7th or 8th grade. I had the epitome of a crush on Cindy Herron, (the tallest one in the group) in today's language one would say my crush on her was Epic. Envogue; classy, sexy, unmatched, just Gorgeous!!! Not one female group could hang with them. Grown women singing to grown men.

  • @liv3ntruth They Still Look Good Today!!!! They was In Detroit a fews ago.

  • My favorite En Vogue song. Sing it ladies!!

  • who is this gorgeous man in the video?

  • havent heard this song since i was in high school!!

    #loveoldschoolmusic

  • OMG. I remember my older cousins doing a little skit to do this when I was younger at our family reunion. In the early 90's . It was TOOOO FUNNY. We often watch that video and remember the old times. I <3 this song.

  • i remember when they first came out and i brought their album. they were truly talented singers. few like them today.

  • 567 people had their lovers leave.......

  • Thing I love about this group is every girl could sing

  • My favorite En Vogue song. Terry Ellis!!!!! you go girl.

  • This is touching....I LOVE this old school song!!

  • For all of you Terry Ellis fans don't forget about her solo song "Wherever You Are." This was and still is the jam.

  • @MIMI88998899 it's sad that 'Southern Gal' flopped. if Terry and Dawn's solos did better, who knows Max might've even dropped one!

  • @mack1820 If they had Mathew Knowles as a Dad/Manager then their careers would have skyrocketed.

  • @paconot oh yeah of course.

  • Beauty, class, sophistication, soul, talent, rhythm....This is how it should be done. But of course today.....these so called singers just don't have what it takes. A few of the so called singers today may have beauty....but class, sophistication, soul, talent, rhythm ....are things they know nothing about.

  • This is my all time favorite song by En Vogue.

  • this is my song! i use to play this all the time when my mom had the cassette lol

  • When people were pretty, but actually had talent..I miss these ladies:)

  • @1:54, does the backgroud lyrics say "Been so strong, for so long, did'nt know, I was wrong" because I'm not really sure...

  • They are the best. I remember this video when it first came out. Terry was always my favorite. :)

  • Terry killed it! That voice is golden!

  • Miss them soo much.

  • @180anon hey check out the new single "I'll Cry Later" -EnVogue

  • Terri?

  • last real female group none of that official lead singer bullshit just 4 beautiful voices

  • Damn this brings back hella memories. Good damn memories. We had some great music, didnt' we?!!!

  • @djdisa35 ??????

  • En Vogue was a group of four lead singers. Who all could hold there own, on any song.

  • En Vogue had good harmony. That was real singing. This stuff they make today is bull sh!@ t.

  • @mimiBeaker5

Yes this is what is known as real singing. So sad we don't have this today.

  • What ashame they didnt last two good yrs. in the industry. Foster and Mcelroy should have gone to battle for these young ladies.

  • @horus1971 What are you talking about?! En Vogue came out in late '89 and were out until late '97 (with big corporate backing, that is). So they were out for about 8 years. "Don't Let Go (Love)" is their biggest hit and it came out in a like '96-'97. They were out for a good run, even though I wish it could have been longer.

  • Terri owned it!

  • This song has a passionate love making scene.

  • does any1 know who the love interest is? he's fine.

  • awesome

  • CLASSY!!!

  • beautiful women

  • What!? No lead singer?!! Most people don't know how to handle multi-talented groups.

  • They don't make music like this anymore. I have a lot of respect for these girls. The harmonies are just simply off the charts!

  • does any1 know who the male model in this video is? he is the same male model in Karyn White's video Superwoman. He was the guy stalking her.

  • Awwwweeee...I miss my girlzzzz. :-(

  • THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE EV SONG'S! THIS IS ALL TERRY! THIS IS TERRY'S EV CLASSIC! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, TERRY SUNG THIS ONE! SHE SUNG THIS ONE FROM THE BELLY OF HER SOUL! THIS SONG IS AN EV CLASSIC FROM THEIR 1ST CD, 'BORN TO SING' 1990!

  • many of the best vocalist ever careers were born in the 80's and 90's en vogue, lisa fischer, Xscape and whitney.....i really miss the 90's.

i thought the new millenium was going to take it to another level........fail

  • The Supremes WAS GOOD FOR THIRE TIME

  • love this song and video

these are some FLAWLESS women in every way

theyre not called "en vogue" for no reason

did you see those high fashion poses they were striking

    in the black dresses (0.50-2.16)

    love it lol!!!

there chromatic harmonies are heavenly amazing/rich/elegant/effortless

  • Chillzzzzz!!!!

  • Defenitly true vocalist, the newer generation can learn from them.

  • I have to agree that talent wise, En Vogue was the best girl group ever. Their voices were amazing together.

  • why didnt Terry Ellis take the lead more often this was one of their best songs

  • @kreed82 Because she knewt he real money was in writing the songs. Terry co-wrote and wrote some of EnVogues' biggest hits. Believe me, she didn't mind the other ladies taking the lead on her songs.

  • I share your thoughts.

I Love the way this video connects to theAfrica Continant.it's about black female sprituality.

In my opinion it's one of the most beautiful music video by a black R+B/SOUL GROUP.

In the hands of a group like En Vogue ;IT'S ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUE MUSIC VIDEOS.

    JUST PURELY BEAUTIFUL.

  • Can they please remake these videos in Blu Ray?

  • I loved En Vogue. Back when people needed talent. I remember singing this song so many times with my Sisters. We thought WE were En Vogue!

  • Wait a minute now! This is one of my favorite En Vogue songs so I don't appreciate this video skipping the part after 3:58 where she sings, "I'm so glad to see you (bye- aye aye....), now I have the chance to say (bye- aye aye...) " Then she says "What must I do to make you stay-a-ay-a ay a WOO HOOO!" Those who remember this song know what I'm talking about.

  • ps- 0:53 is my reason for living!

  • The sexiest all female group of all time, TLC of course is the highest selling group, but they really only had 1 lead singer (T-BOZ), but EnVouge is by far the best of the best

  • THE BEST THING ABOUT A GROUP LIKE THIS IS THAT THERE IS NOT A LEAD SINGER. CAUSE ALL 4 OF THEM CAN SING THEIR ASSES OFF. #1 FEMALE GROUP. CANT WAIT TIL I SEE THEM IN CONCERT IN ST. LOUIS.

  • @mizundrstod I was just about to say the same thing. How many vocal groups can claim that?

  • My jam!!!!!!! My damn jam. I swear on peanut butter and jelly that they are and still is the best female group of all time

  • BEST.EVER...PERIOD.

  • I SO LOVE THIS SONG....I WAS A LITTLE RUGRAT WHEN I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG!! YES ENVOUGE, YES!!!

  • back then women would tell you "don't go"..., now they tell you to left ,because your replaceable(Beyonce)

  • @blakdog90 - women today are much different from those in the past. Women back in the day were more inclined to constantly forgive a man for his transgressions, or settle in relationships for various reasons. That's not to say that there aren't females of this day and age who wouldn't do the same but for the most part, women today refuse to put up with as much B.S. because their more "independent "

  • @cbwatson20002 true, most women are very different now. sistas really doing their thang nowadays independent and paid, but my issue is they are so dismissive and far as B.S is concearned. .....today there is just as many triflin sistas as brothers out there.

    the "game" has really changed.

  • I'm 26 now and I remember most En Vogue's singles, I recently starting listening to them and I agree with all these comments, they have to be THE best female vocal group ever, simply because they can ALL sing, and sing very, very well. I personally think Dawn and Terry have the two best voices but Maxine and Cindy can sing brilliant too!

  • I had the pleasure to see them in concert with arrested development and they sound just as good if not better live...GOD i miss real talent!!!!

  • i have been trying to figure out the name of this song for days!!! one of my FAVS!!

  • man i cant believe this song is over 20 years old

  • Terri looks so good and this video, I wish she would sing to me.

  • Most Definetely my favorite songs En Vouge :)

  • @Poodah305

    Mine too!

  • one of my favorites...... i love every song from en vogue real music baby real music..... en vogue is beautiful and respects their bodies...real women

  • Terry my fav she reminds me of my mama, love envogue set the standards for all girl groups....

  • 20 years ago. still love them

  • @te4888 da best hands down

  • their harmony in every song is on point

  • i love this video and this song! :)

  • the best all female group of all times real talent embarassing too the new generation

  • Come back 90's when we had groups like this and everybody in the group could sing lead where now only one can sing and the other chicks are just in the group to fill out the group!!!!!

  • AWWWW MAN !! dis was my jam back in 4th grade..memories!!

  • Out of all the groups that Beyonce and Destiny's Child idolized, this is the main one that they looked up to in the 90's.En Vogue were like four Beyonce's,without the rauchiness and ass shaking. The 90's with always be the decade of unique r&b singers,it will never be the same.

  • Bring back the 90s... no seriously, let's just do it. and the 70s. (and 80s... ok i'm aging, and I admit it).

  • this is real music! all this bull shit they are play now..... it's a damn shame!

  • They got this concept from The Jones Girls At Peace With Woman album cover. Very nice.

  • i love this group cause at one point or another they all have led a song. very talented women

  • 1 girl man left and i dont know of about all time but they are truely one of the 3 best girl groups of the last 20+ years. and this is one of my favorite song by them

  • Terry, Maxine, Dawn, and Cindy...you made puberty VERY interesting. And I...I want to thank you for that. (channeling my inner Bobby Boucher)

  • this was the shit its sad there is no more real music

  • ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS BY MY GIRLS.

  • one of my favorites by them. Terry always had the best voice to me...the strongest voice I should say, I wish they had let her sing more.

  • Love that their TALENT is what makes this song. Not naked booty shaking... Not blatantly raunchy lyrics. Just beautiful black women showing that we can be sensuous without compromising dignity. Miss these days.

  • my girls....

  • En Vogue is the best ever.

  • THIS MA SHIT.

  • fuck dat..nigga u look better gone!! please get the fuck out!!!

  • its amazing to watch these WOMEN..gifted WOMEN perform in more fabric in one video than Destiny's Child or any of these girl groups of the last 20 years have in their entire existences. The next generation is going to perform in just pasties and thongs..oh wait, some of them pretty much do already. When you have REAL talent, you don't have to have to walk around naked to get attention!

  • @pecantanqtee You better tell it! I like Beyonce's songs, and her Halo song too...but I wish she would dress it up a little bit and do more songs like this I like her performance aura but she can come down like Anita Baker and do it up like that.

  • EnVogue are my girls!!!

  • En Vogue is WITHOUT a doubt the best female vocal group...PERIOD! Better than TLC, The Supremes, and Destiny's Child. Why? For starters, they ALL can sing and they did not have to take off their clothes...TALENTED, CLASSY, SEXY, SOPHISTICATED...TIMELESS.

  • @msflyashell They did dress provacatively though. Check out Free Your Mind....especially Max's outfit

  • @ninetiesbaby10

    "They did dress provacatively though."

But the difference with En Vogue they did it with class, unlike today so-called singers (both male & female) everybody wants to show their little stank ass just to be showing it with no class.

  • @MrJuly1990ish Yeah you say that bc you probably a part of their generation...but when they came out my grandmother was appalled by the amount of cleavage and buttocks they showed, especially in the "Free Your Mind" video where Maxine turns around in a onesie with a thong bottom half and smacks her butt. I mean I embrace sexuaity on tv and dont understand why everyone is so shocked by it, humans are sexual creatures. But dont act like sexy dress is something new.

  • @ninetiesbaby10

"But dont act like sexy dress is something new."

Lol!!! I'm not acting like this is new, that "Free Your Mind" video that En Vogue did nearly 20 years ago is a far cry from being overly provocative from what we see today. The point I was really making is that, I think today's singers try way too hard to sell "sexuality" just to get notice to sell records, as oppose to being sexy with an artistic form (like En Vogue & the late Aaliyah) that's done tastefully.

  • @MrJuly1990ish And my point was that it seems that way to you bc it is a generational thing. My grandmother would have said the same about En Vogue bc she was from the era of the Supremes etc. Plus during this very same era(early 90s) you had artists like Madonna pushing the envelope so far she was banned from MTV....it is not any worse today just more openly accepted. I think you lack perspective to see it that way bc you are older than the current mainstream audience.

  • @ninetiesbaby10

"I think you lack perspective to see it that way."

Umm....no. Again, you miss the point (bigtime) and I think you are seriously naive (maybe because you're young) if you think it is "not any worse today" than it was 20 years ago, I mean kid what are you smoking? Lol!!

  • @MrJuly1990ish Oh ok a condescending tone...that's original.....anyway Madonna's "Sex" was no cleaner than the videos you see today. Once again I have also consulted people older than you about this and they say the real change in morality began in the 80s...of course ppl are going to continue to push the envelope but as I stated before the things done today are not new....they seem worse to you bc you are older...I havent missed the point, you just havent arrived at it...uh, lol.

  • @msflyashell Am take it in how there not the best group of all time get ur facts straight buddy becuz if u read up you'll see that TLC is the best R&B group of all time!! But I do like En vogue still no lie!!!

  • @msflyashell Amen...plus them Destiny gals better admit their "Cater to You" video is a tribute to this one. Cause if they say any different they lyin!

  • @msflyashell I couldn't have said it any better.

  • @msflyashell

"they did not have to take off their clothes."

So very true! Not only that, but EV were original, very creative, stylish and true to their artistic form in their videos, which is seriously lacking in today's music videos from these so-called "Divas." I think EV videos (Sade, Aaliyah too) should be required viewing to up and coming female singers. To show them this is how it's done, do it with taste. It's about having class, not always showing breast or shaking your ass!

  • @msflyashell - You better speak that truth...and the other things is they actually got along well on and off the camera. Though Dawn wanted a Solo Career, she never acted out and they never fought in public and admitted they had small disagreements, but they always handled them like sisters because even though they were younger at the time, they were mature and like you said where Classy. Unlike Destinys Child where beYAWNcy only did the talking in interview & the other 2 said 2 words.

  • @msflyashell

I agree but not the Supremes!!!!

  • @msflyashell There would be no En Vogue ( or TLC, or Destiny's Child) if it were not for the Supremes

  • Comment removed

  • @msflyashell absolutely love En Vogue.... but better than the Supremes? They were before my time, so its not good judgement to make that kind of comparison. Just appreciate them for their time and contributions to music.

  • @msflyashell obviously you don't know the Pointer Sisters, Sister Sledge or the Emotions.....judge groups by their comparables(Style of music, vocal abilities, stage presence etc.) EV, DC, TLC are possible because the Supremes modeled what girl groups are to be. Noice most girl groups are three with one lead singer. That's how it started. EV, DC and the Pointers started out with four and they even ended up following the model of a three girl group.

  • @msflyashell i agree

  • Who is this dude in the video! He is soooooo fine!

  • This song right here is what me fall in love with Terry Ellis aka 'Ms. E' all those years ago when En Vogue first killed us softly with their debut, "Born To Sing". Have loved her, her style and her voice ever since.

  • Me too @ betcamus!!!

  • Me too @ betcamus!!! I was sold on her after that whistle register exploded in the end!

  • I love En Vogue. Best girl group along with SWV.

  • Was Dawn on punishment? The first album they kept her hidden in the background...she was plottin though! LOL!

  • @BLACKARAZZI Dawn had a couple of leads on the album... Lies and Waiting On You for sure..

  • @BLACKARAZZI no she had quite a few lead performances on the first album..."strange", "lies", "waitin' on you", "luv lines"

  • They intentionally found 4 female leads so that they could all be strong vocally and not have any one particular stand out on lead...I think that was EXCELLENT strategy...they are definitely one of the best to ever grace a stage. Their music is timeless and they were such a CLASSY act. :)

  • Wow...Terry is amazing. I wish she would sing more.

  • top quality!!!

  • my all time fav

  • I have been fortunate enough to enjoy them in a free concert this evening. It was amazing, they STILL got it, and as beautiful as ever. I wish they would have done this song though.

  • I've always liked this song the best. Especially cause Terry is singing! lolz

  • There is nothing today that can compare with groups from the 90s Not a dang thang..

  • God I miss good R&B what the hell happened to music.. These girls can blow..

  • The deepest vocal ever. The most emotional vocal ever, the most beautiful melody. That is my very favourite song, I feel it so much. Pure talent.

  • this is a great song. my favorite

  • My SOOOONNNNGGGG!!!!....Don't go!!!!!

  • hot dammit! I LOVE these women....'Lets make sweet love tonight, i wont put up any fight, your wish is my comand......' wow, imagine your lady singing, actin, feelin like that.........ORGAZMIC!!!!!!!!!

  • i have this whole album if you want a copy hit me up with your email address and i'll give you the link just downloadand enjoy

  • I feel the time is right.....LOVE IT!!

  • this is one of my most favorite love songs

  • Please bring back R&B girl groups (90's) who can actually sing!!!! like En Vogue , Brownstone, hell throw Xscape up in there then I can be satisfied.

  • En vogue hands down the BEST female R&B group EVER!! All are gorgeous and all can sing, pretty woman with talent

  • this is in my favorite songs of all time, list. This was always my favorite from them, and tha's saying a lot, because they had a lot of good songs.

  • I love the way they move at the time time its sooo good

  • Sing it Terry!

  • this video was so different yet expressive, confusing in a good way, all thei videos was very unique...except Hold On lol

  • It's 100% impossible for me to ever be able to pick a fav in this group, every member is so damn unique and special, I cant say that about ANY other group besides them and the Supremes (Diana, Mary, & Flo).

  • I used to luv Cindi...The tall one, right?

  • Terry was AMAZing!!!

  • Terry has such an amazing instrument, so glad she did the whole song, sometimes you just wanna see one person showcased.

  • Terry murder this track and that note at the end WOW!!!! but they all did an amazing job on the song. EnVogue is the best girl group ever.. but much respect to those that paved the way for them.
