GARY MOORE - BLOOD OF EMERALDS, Polish Tribute to the Irish Guitar Legend

  • Great intro into blues licks, I'm going to be practicing these ideas a lot. Thanks fir publishing this.

  • Awesome video, I have learned so many cool tricks from Marty, I owe my progression in guitar to him.

  • Hey man, this is a very cool lesson! ive just created some beginner courses that you might want to check out on my channel. Its the Hub of a new website >> RexPearson. com << would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think

    Rex

  • marty you are the king of teaching licks. Everything comes into place when you show it. Rock on dude!!!

  • I think all the instructors from NLG are great, but marty seems to be one of the most diversely talented. Great video dude

  • Marty ,what gear are you using to make your rhythm guitar loops?

  • yo your a really good teacher but i think i could learn these bad boys twice as fast if you had a camera showing your picking hand sounds weird but it would make all the difference for me

  • Thank you Marty Your the best :D

  • I was always taught that bends should come from the wrist, not from the fingers.

  • what settings are the amp set to?

  • if i could describe marty short and simply.....A minor pentatonic lol!!!!!!!!

  • i <3 your videos

  • say hallo to the pro ! u wolcome

  • hallo

  • This is so simple but also so effective and a great foundation. I spent just 15 minutes using it as a foundation and was amazed at how it developed into some awesome licks.

  • what's the meaning of lead guitar ?

  • @realjuvelive its the lead part of the song, like the guitarist who does the solos and single note parts. the rhythm guitar is the one who does the rhythm parts (strumming patterns).

  • Check out this little snip of idea I recorded on my PC last night. Reaper, Trilogy, EZdrummer and a scratch vocal and a pretty cool solo. :) I also teach if you care to do it over the net in video.

  • muito bom a explicação gostei!!!!!

  • Really love your vid.

  • I always read that your supposed to bend using your whole hand from the wrist, not just the fingers.

  • woa that was great i been palying guitar for around bah say 20 hours max time spent with it in my hands over about 7 month but im gona start playing again and this is a good place to start from :D

  • awesome.

  • the greates teacher ever!!!!!

  • I LOVE YOU !

  • Very Helpful. Most Teachers assume you know all the phrases and never tell you why you need to do the things you do.

  • thanx, dude! For me this is pretty easy and I didnt know this kinda technique. thanks much :)

  • Nice stuff...:P

  • the big bend he did was a very hendrix thing, but before it was a hendrix thing, it was a blues thing. That is what this video is about after all. If every artist started claiming licks as their own it would be impossible to create anything without tripping over someone eventually.

  • but can you prove it????

  • Thank you for sharing your knowlege with us!!

  • haaaaaaaaaaaaa finley its marrty<3 hahahha but thanks anyway!

  • Awesome vid.. you rock marty, im like spongeing it all up :)

    PEace

  • super job..many thanks

  • lots of people can play the guitar, but Marty can teach...

  • Unlike most people..... hah!

    :)

  • the bendnig makes me wanna listen to jim hendrix

  • ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.............why?

  • Probably because Hendrix uses similar licks...

  • not really......

  • Listen to his songs first then say not really......

  • i think i know more of his music than you do

and those licks just aren't hendrix's style

  • Well then I think I have better hearing than you..

  • hi freinds, Please help me in, how to play guitar in standing ?? I face difficulty standing & playing guitar as i cant see the frets . Also the pick position gets angled when i stand and play guitar. PLease suggest me for a good technique. Thanks in advance.

  • It will be a lot easier if you have dots on the top of your neck. This will tell you what fret you are on.

  • stand in front of a mirror and watch your hands. And don't slouch over the guitar. Eventually, you'll be able to play without looking at the mirror!

  • marty you da man

  • haha that was so crazy i didnt see that comming haha that is gonna stay in my mind forEVER ... that was awsome [=

  • great video! thanks for sharing! very helpful!~

  • so sweeeet licks dude!

  • wow amazing stuff

  • This is great guys.Far out!

Wish we had it here in Netherlands

  • Thanks for another GREAT lesson.

    You guys ROCK!

  • A question: on the loop, you have just the first bar of a 12 bar blues in A. So this is a good way to practice over just the first bar, and then you can move on through the 12 bar pattern later? Thanks Marty, you guys rule.

  • great lesson!!

  • whats that thing he clicks on the ground?

  • Loop machine. Records and plays back on a continuous, repeating, loop.

  • Thanks, man- the simple stuff, it works.

  • LOVE it... TY

  • great lesson thank you.

  • Blues

  • Thank you. That made me not quit on the blues, it sounds so good and seems so hard and you made it seem, at least somewhat possible.

  • love it

  • Marty, you forgot to tell me your name. Goooood lesson.

  • lol, funny that you guys do a video on like, the only blues stuff that I can do fluidly already. =P More blues stuff, please!! :D (if I had money I'd totally buy DVD's, I love how you guys teach, especially this guy)

  • Marty how about some other scales? Ones that might work the blues scales but are not a pentatonic.

  • Marty rules!!!!

  • Nice Jobbb!!!!!! dang thats good!!

  • When are you guys gonna start doing some more advanced lessons?

  • Hi - we have many advanced lessons on the full on video instructional websiteat next level guitar dotcom
